Chapter 36 The seed of distrust I stood up from the bed and watched Danni snoring softly. He was already deep in sleep. I had managed to get him to bed and with the kind of energy aggressive he put into making love to me, he had a lot on his mind. And that lot was Royce. If he has the intention of getting Royce with that attitude, he'll fail and of course, I don't want that. I gathered my robe against myself and shivered as the cool morning air comes through the window. I walked to the it and closed it gently as a thought formed in my head. Only I could help Danni get Myra out of the way and I know just the perfect way to go about it. Royce isn't just some baby businessman, he's a player and a strategist but as always every powerful man has a weakness. Even though right now, Myra seems to be all that Royce has as a business partner, Royce and Britney do love each other. I've seen them on countless occasions and one cannot deny the beautiful chemistry between them. And Britney is the typical example of aggressive, possessive and a woman who doesn't love to share her husband even if it's for business purposes. All I have to do is plant the idea in Britney's mind. Once she accepts it, I and Danni wouldn't have to do anything but rather watch Britney do the work. I walked to the full length mirror in the room and assessed my beautiful body, I cocked my head to the side and smirk devilishly. Even though I have been with Danni from a long time way before his baby mamas, I haven't been able to give him a child. However ,l learnt quite a number of things from him and I am going to make use of them and help him conquer his long time enemy. ********************************* The following morning came within hours and I felt really good. The cloud is bright and I'm in a good mood. After Danni left for work, I prepared for my outing too. I know too well where to get Britney, I'm going to make it look like a coincidence. It would have been nice if I could still go inside the popular mall where I often see her but Myra had made that difficult by buying it for herself. I got to the front of the mall around afternoon. From afar,I could see Britney's car and the driver as he went to the nearest department store to get ice-cream. He stood by the car and began to squeeze it into his mouth. He checked his wrist watch and began to walk towards the entrance of the mall. It was a matter of time before she came out.I got down and stood at the front of the mall as if I was window shopping. I frowned my face a bit, making it look like I wished to go in. I saw the driver walked in through the glass door,I knew then that she was already coming out. 'Do you wish to go in? I could help you speak to one of them", she said with an air of arrogance when she saw me. 'Next time, you'd learn to be nicer to me, I bet you didn't know that I had someone as powerful as that in my corner." She said with pride. As always,she was dressed in a sophisticated dress that only a rich husband like Royce can afford. 'There's no need to talk as if we are enemies. It was just a small fight and I'm sorry about what I did the last time,I said in order to make it believable. The fact that I was even begging her was irritating but I have to achieve what I had in mind so, I don't mind doing anything to get it done.She frowned as I said this and looked at me from head to toe. She shrugged and began to walk away from me 'So, how's everything, and Royce?" I asked. She stopped but turned to me. 'Why ask about my husband? Anyways, if you are asking if Danni's plan worked, the answer is no. Royce is doing well. But then, I guess you already know that" 'I have no business in what the men do, Britney. I'm only asking because I see him more on the TV…with Myra. They seem to work in synergy." I said harmlessly. 'Yes, they are team members. What else do you expect?" She asked in a way that told me that she didn't mind. Could it be that she took trust in Myra. That would be a good one, I need to plant a seed of distrust between them. 'Really? that's unusual. You used to be quite possessive and always around Royce. But now, it's just as if Myra has taken that position. Seeing him with her…just…makes me feel like there's something different about them. But like you said, they are one team" 'What are you babbling about Selena? That my husband is mixing business with pleasure? No, he's not like that, you should be worried about Danni" she said but I didn't allow it get to me. 'I know right? Men are polygamous in nature. You know what happens when they begin to rely on women to handle their affairs. You know how men are, plus, Myra is a brilliant and sophisticated lady in all honesty." I said. She said nothing for a while and then burst into laughter. 'You think Royce is like every other man outside? No he's not. You can think whatever you want to think about, Selena. I don't care," she said. The driver opened the door for her. She got in and was about to close the door when I held the door, stopping her from closing. 'I guess you are right. But you weren't his first wife, were you? What was her name again, Bella?" I said 'I didn't steal anyone from anyone. His weak wife died, and I got him" sir said defensively. I knew then that I had struck a sensitive one. 'Exactly, you aren't dead and Myra is beside him already, helping him and touring the world with him." As I said this I noticed that she tightened her grip on the side of the door and she was biting her lips. 'Anyways, I guess I'm just worried over nothing. But it wouldn't hurt to keep an eye on her. You know how women are,take me for example, you already know how many baby mamas by husband has"I said adding a bit of drama 'You don't have to worry about that. Everything under my territory stays so." She said with a sharp voice. 'Very well then, I guess I was overly worried over nothing. Have a lovely day ahead Britney," I said and allowed her closed the door. I watched as the car drove her away and I smiled. The seed has been planted already, knowing Britney, she'll be sure to nurture it into maturity.
