It's time!
Chapter 63
It's time!
I checked my wrist watch as I ended the call. I still had about a few hours before the day break. I contemplated talking to her on the phone but knowing her, she wouldn't listen to me. If I keep pushing, she'd lock me out and refuse to talk to me and I don't want that. We are gradually getting to the tricky part of the revenge and in all honesty, I wish no harm upon Myra. I want her to finish everything in one piece. She's been through a lot more than for her to die halfway.
I could have had Christian talk to her about my decision but knowing Christian, he won't be able to effectively do that. From the moment I brought Myra back home, he had had a soft spot for her and did everything that concerned her with perfection. That was the reason I allowed him to follow her to New York because I knew he'd take proper care of her.
'Arman"? I called out to my personal assistant who stood outside of my door. He walked in swiftly and walked to me. 'Is it still possible to get to New York this early?" I asked and he nodded. He brought out his iPad and began pressing it.
'I've booked you for the next available flight, which will be in about an hour's time." He said and I stood up. I just had a little bit of packing to do before leaving.

The Cullen's penthouse was exactly as I remembered and I smiled as I stood outside of it. The penthouse held a lot of memories to me when my godfather was still alive and when the real Myra hadn't died. Those were the good old days but all of that was now in the past.
I exhaled slowly as I thought about how difficult it would be to get Myra to reason with me and then got out of the car. I intentionally didn't inform her before boarding the plane because I knew she would want to know what was so urgent that I couldn't wait. Besides, I didn't want to get her agitated, she'd be worried about what could be so urgent that I had to come see her and not just talk about it on the phone.
Things are about to get ugly and before it does, I wanted her to be more than ready. I don't want Royce to get her unaware, instead, I want her to be the one dictating the rules of the game. I slid the spare key in my hand into the key lock, turned the lock and stepped in.
The living room was dark as hell,I put my hand into my pocket trying to fish out my phone to use as touch light when I felt something cold touch my neck
'Hands up you modafucker," I heard and chuckled. She must have heard when I opened the door from the outside and thought me to be an outsider.
'Did you just laugh?" Came her voice again, she cocked the gun right behind my head. At that point, I realised that she wasn't joking at all and so, I spoke up before it got too late.
'Goddammit, Myra, it's me, Percy," I said. She withdrew the gun from my neck and switched on the light quickly.
'My goodness, I almost blew out your brains, why didn't you tell me you were coming?" She asked, dropping the gun on the table.
'It was unplanned but I'm glad you still remembered all that you were taught and that you can protect yourself." I said and she scoffed.
'We need to talk though," I said after all had settled down. She had walked to the mini bar in the room and returned with two glasses and a bottle of wine.
'Really? I thought you didn't want to talk to me because I told Carl about myself" she said.
'Yes, I still believe you shouldn't have told him but I didn't come because of that. I came because of Royce." I said
'Of course, it's because of Royce. What do you want me to do now? she asked
'I think it's best if you reveal who you are now," I said and he'd my breath, waiting for her reaction which I assumed to be anger.
'You don't mean that!" She said stopping, mid-air. 'It's not yet time to do that, there's still a lot to do. Telling him why I am might jeopardize the whole plan," she said.
'So, when is the best time because I know there's no better time than now. Danni got to Royce's investigator first and dealt with him mercilessly. Currently, Royce already knows that you are more than who you claim to be, it's only a matter of time before he figures it out and I don't want that. I want you to be the one to corner him."
'And how do you propose I do that? Do I just say it to his face that I was the wife he cheated on and he'll let me go? It's like you don't know who Royce is and what he's capable of doing,"
'You are smarter than that, you know the best way to go about it. I'm sure you are currently thinking about a way to make him regret what he did," I said, trying to cajole her but she wasn't having it"
'I think because you were away for a bit, you have no Idea about who we are dealing with. Royce can set me up and kill me for real this time around. It's not yet time to make him find out,"
'He won't try that. For one, he'll be afraid and scared that you are back. Or, maybe we could turn things around and marry Danni," I suggested but immediately wished I hadn't because it sounded stupid. To my surprise she didn't say anything, she merely fixed me a glare.
'That could work but it would add to the level of feud between them," she said.
'Isn't that what we want? Let him feel restless; first because you left him for his rival and because you used to be his wife" I said, suddenly taking control of the conversation again.
'This won't be any way easy." She said with doubt. I moved closer to her and held her shoulders.
'It has never been easy but look at how far you've come. We are getting to the end, just a little bit of pushing is what he needs for him to flop,"
'Fine," she said and I sighed with relief. ' However, you need to give me all the protection I need because things are about to get hot" she said and I nodded.
'Deal"
