14- Mental Breakdown
The soon to be couple were shopping for their forthcoming function which is going to seal their perfect bond with an eternal sacred bond of marriage. After shopping, they were tired and decided to have lunch outside before Emraz could drop her at home.
They were eating in silence, peacefully but Isra's mind was stirred about what Rayan told her. His words are echoing in her mind, afflicting it with unwanted thoughts.
"Is that all you need?" Emraz asked, looking at her lovingly. "Yes..." She whispered, not looking at him. Her eyes were fixed on the food with trepidation written all over her face. "Can't wait to see you as my bride. You hold the elegance I have never seen-" He was complimenting her but her lost mind didn't let her focus on his talks. Narrowing his eyes at her, "You okay, Isra?" He asked, concerned.
Dragging from her thoughts, she shot her head at him, "Huh? Yeah, I am." She mumbled, passing a faint smile before going back to her anxious state again.
"You seemed dazed, is everything okay? We can go somewhere else if you want." He politely offered, "No, No, it's fine." She shook her head, hoping the unnerving thoughts building in her mind would also wash away but to no avail.
"If you say so." He shrugged, eating his food. "So, how's work?" He casually asked, trying to lighten her mood.
"It's fine, you know the usual scoldings for being late." She replied, "I don't understand when you are so ambitious then how come the habit of being late became a part of you?"
She chuckled, tugging her hair behind her ears timidly, "I don't know that either... just developed unknowingly..."
"Gotta do something about it." He smirked and she only waved her hand to shrug off his words, "Yeah.. Yeah.."
After Lunch, Emraz dropped her at home, they were outside, she was about to leave but he called her, "Isra..."
"Hmm?"
"Since we are going to live together, I thought you trust me enough to tell me what's bothering you." He smiled, turning his face to her. "No.. Um.. It's nothing."
"Isra... you don't have to force anything upon yourself. I just want you to know I am here for you." He said sincerely, putting his hand over hers to hold her soothe and wash out any edginess building inside her. "Thanks.. I know." She smiled, relaxed.
"Take care." He smiled, removing his hand from her as she began to miss his warmth which provided her immense tranquility. "Uh, Emraz..." She called him innocently, tugging on his sleeves.
"Hmm?"
"Can I ask you something?" She asked. "Yeah, sure. What is it?"
"Um.. Uh... What.. A.." Looking down, she didn't know what to say to clear Rayan's doubt in her mind. "Is everything alright, Isra?"
Shutting her eyes, she blurted out hurriedly in tension. "I just want to know what your opinion is about having kids after marriage?" Breathing heavily from the nervousness tingling her body. She looked at him staring at her in faze for a few seconds, registering her words increasing her fear more but then an amusing expression crept upon his face as he broke in a laughter making her pout. She was utterly dismayed and his reaction made her furious. "Why are you laughing?"
"Because it was such a sweet question." He grinned, shaking his head. "Why..?"
"You're so sweet, Isra. Of course I would love to have kids. I planned on having four as minimum." He told her, pinching her cheek, causing a deep red shade to creep upon her face, "Four?!"
"Scared?" He smirked, teasing her. With a hammering heartbeat, she gulped, swallowing all worries of her mind, finally. "I.. Should leave." She was about to leave but he held her hand and kissed the back of her palm, putting on his most charming tone, "Take care. Bye."
"B-Bye." Stuttering, she quickly left, followed by the sound of his pleasing laugh echoing in her mind but amid his sweetness, she at least knew one thing: Huff, I was worried for nothing.

"I will Kill you if you don't perform well, Zain." Isra hissed at Zain who was learning the dance for her Mehendi Function next week, certainly not wanting him to make a fool of himself.
"Hey, I am trying." He sighed.
"Rayan is a better dancer than you! He was supposed to be on our side!" She argued, slamming her hand on the table.
"Why would he? Emraz bhai is his brother." He shrugged, panting and going to get himself a glass of water.
"Whatever. Do it right."
"Okay. Okay." He hummed and sat beside her to rest for a while, "By the way, how are you feeling?" He asked after a while. "Fine. Why?"
"Girl, I mean about getting married and all." He asked, intrigued to know, "Oh that. What else? Nervous. It's such a drastic step in my life." She replied nonchalantly, "Hmm. Take care."
"I am not getting married tomorrow."
"Still... " He trailed off but she spoke up first, "You should also find yourself a girl."
"Oh, from getting a girl, I remember, is Natasha coming to the wedding?" His face lit up in excitement, turning to her, "Yeah, but Why are you asking?"
"We went on a few dates, I am thinking about asking her to be my girlfriend." He grinned, making her flabbergast, "What?! You and her are dating?!"
"Yeah, so?" He asked, unsure about her sudden rage. "Why didn't you tell me before?!" She yelled, outraged at him. "Why?"
"Stop seeing her at once." She declared. "Wha- Why?!"
"Because that bitch must be using you to degrade me, she hates me and to disgrace me she has done a lot of things, just don't do this." She spat, growling to know they are dating. "What? She told me you guys were friends."
"Friends? As if. She is a witch. I don't want her near my brother to break his fragile heart." She said sternly, closing her arms at her chest. "I see.. Hey, what do you mean by fragile?"
"You're so damn sensitive Zain." She sneered, pinching his cheeks but he only nodded in response, "Oh, right."
"That's why, leave her and focus on your dance." She grinned, getting up and leaving to her room as he tried to call her but she didn't listen, "Hey, hey!"
Yawning, she left, "Good night."
