33.2- Blindly Follow
'So, how was it?" Zain asked over the call when she reached home, throwing her stuff again.
'Not that bad, I can do this after all." She replied calmly, throwing the book away that she didn't have to touch it again.
'I know you will." He said, leaning back on his seat, lips curling upwards.
She giggled as they cut the call and Zain went to his room after work only to see Isra and Rayan, sitting while holding hands, grin not leaving their lips.
'Oh, look who's back after two months." Zain smirked, contemplating the cute couple.
'Gosh, I can't tell you how amazing it was. I never fathomed that Rayan would be so romantic." Isra beamed, hugging Zain and going back to Rayan.
He smirked, putting his hand on her shoulder, pulling her closer.
'Congrats, you are becoming an Uncle." Rayan winked at Zain who gasped in disbelief.
'What!? Really!? I am so happy, Isra!" Beaming, his exhilaration reached its peak only by thinking of having a kid at home.
'Me too!" She giggled, eyes locked with Rayan who indulged in her content wholeheartedly, loving each second of it.
'The two months were the best day of my life. I had some special realizations." She breathed out, resting her head on his chest, never intending to leave his arms ever again.
'I am glad I met you. I love you so much." He whispered, kissing the back of her palm.
'I love you too, Dear." She whispered back, forgetting the moment as if it never existed.
'Ahem, you just returned from your honeymoon." Aima cleared her throat, smirking at the kids how they are dispersing their love in the air.
'So what? My heart doesn't want to stop anymore." Irsa whined, causing everyone to chuckle.
'By the way, what about you? How are things between you and Hoorain?" Rayan asked, turning his head to Zain.
'Better than they ever could." He laughed a little, biting his bottom lip in shyness and replying with made his heart skip a beat.
'I think I found my soulmate." He said honestly and they gasped.
'Ah, I am so happy for you." The couple said at the same time.
'Me too." He smiled back and was about to leave for his room to freshen up but Rayan called.
'So.. Zain… We were here.. Could you-" Raising a brow, Zain asked the true reason why these two are here in the first place.
'Biryani, right?" He asked, knowing they died for his cooking.
'Yes." They both nodded sheepishly.
'You made me so happy by the good news so consider yourself lucky." Laughing a little, Zain agreed, going to freshen up.
'Yay!"
And as slowly and painfully Hoorain's exams came, they flew by with the thundering speed and ended eventually. Hoorain and Zain decided to take a break before her result.
They gave each other some space before reaching a final decision for their bond, giving things time to build up the momentum so they could be memorable.
And it was the day of her result so Zain picked her up, before they could go to their destination. They waited for her result.
'So, what was it?" He asked as she was checking her phone constantly to see.
'Oh My God, I passed! Yes! Eighty percent!! It's all thanks to you, Zain!"
She almost jumped because she never scored this high before, on the very of screaming from glee.
'Me?" He asked with a nervous laugh.
'If you hadn't taught me." She grinned, holding his hands tightly, taking deep and long breaths to let the good news sink in.
'It's your hard work. I am so happy for you." He said, kissing her hands, wallowing in her content, praying it remains forever.
'Me too." She laughed, leaning back on the seat, putting her hand on her chest.
'This is the highest I have ever scored. I can't believe it. You are the best professor." She said, barely holding her laugh and joy.
'Well, before you announce it at your home. Come with me." He smirked.
Taking her to a place where he was saving a portion of his savings to give her a beautiful surprise.
'Here we are, come with me, My Lady." He said gallantly, taking her hand and leading her inside.
They reached a gazebo booked for them, the table set with the aroma of delicious food he cooked himself reaching the air.
'Oh my, It's so heartwarming, Zain."
Things embellished with decorations, leaving her in awe by the arrangements he made for her, the graceful place, surrounded with flowers.
'Just for you." He whispered.
And to enhance the intensity, there was no them, only them and this everlasting moment.
'Thank you so much."
She was contemplating the area in awe, a grin not leaving her lips, delight for the dreams in her grasp, becoming her solace.
'Hoorain." Clearing his throat, Zain called, turning her face to his.
'I know our start was not as you dreamt of but to compensate for it, I want to fill the rest of our moments with smiles, with an emotion to remember forever." He began to say.
With bottomless care and endearment glistening in his eyes, he closed the gap between them, collided his heart to hers and considered it as one.
'Hoorain Ahmed, I, Zain Bukhari, is sincerely offering his hand for you to hold forever; let it be a darkest night or a brightest morning, to be together, always…"
Earning a gasp with a tear, she couldn't fathom having this moment in her grasp, giving his hands a tight squeeze.
'Will you walk with me on this unpaved path we call life for the rest of our lives?" Using his most tempting and charming voice, he brought her closer, kissing her knuckles.
'Yes, Yes! Of course, I will!" On the verge of crying, she jumped into his embrace, accepting her warmth as they remained.
Looking up, she knitted her gaze wholehearted, telling him the reality, 'I will blindly follow your path, Zain. I will always be yours."
