8.2- New Start
Emraz had taken over her mind, he had begun to intoxicate her, his true charming nature was taking over. She couldn't stop herself from not thinking about him and his talks.
He was making her forget everything.
Later, when she was working, a knock appeared on her door.
"Thirty minutes, Ms Bukhari." Emraz smirked and left, making her heart skip a beat. Turning her hands cold, a sensation unknown to her, not knowing how to react to them, she couldn't help but to smile and went to the washroom to fix herself.
Putting her bun in a high pony-tail and applying some lipstick, setting her clothes, smiling decently to look presentable in her perspective knowing her grace was enough to compel him.
Especially my brother. Rayan's words came to her mind.
Halting she closed her eyes for a moment before releasing a long exhale. "Forget it, Isra. It was just a forgotten part. He is happy with Sateesha, it was not a taunt."
Locking her cabin and taking her stuff, she walked out, taking a few files she had to finish before resigning and came out. He was leaning on his car, waiting for her, when she came he helped her with the file and sat down.
"I will finish all my work this week." She told him. "You don't have to worry about it." He told her, closing the door and sat down as they left.
"So, coffee or dinner?" He asked. "I am starving." She said, "Okay then."
"I will inform Mama so she won't worry."
"Okay."
They were in the restaurant, indulging in their dinner but Emraz couldn't help but to glance at her, unable to control the smile creeping upon his lips just by seeing her pleasing form, finding himself in a merciful shade of affection.
"Isra.." He called her. His name on her lips gave her flutters, made her feel strange.
"Hmm?" She hummed, tugging her hair behind her ear.
"You can take as much time as you want, we can get to know each other, although we have our whole lives to do it now but there's no need for you to rush things. Whenever you'll be ready, I will be ready." He smiled, putting his hand over hers, giving it a gentle squeeze, her heart skipped a beat, trying to cope with his lovely words.
"Thanks."
"Um... can I ask you something?" She asked after a while, "Yeah, sure?"
"Uh, Don't get me wrong, I just want to know how many girlfriends you had? It's not that I am jealous or anything. I just want to know. I will also tell you, I just had one boyfriend who cheated on me-" She began to say timorously, hurriedly, twirling her fingers around her dress.
"Hey, hey, it's okay, We all know about Edgar... And about me, I had three girlfriends, my recent breakup was two years ago." He told her normally.
"Oh yeah, I heard about it from Rayan. He told me, you gave up after it." She hummed.
"It's strange, our families were together for years but I came to know about you on your internship. I didn't know much about you before that." He told her. "Yeah... But, we know each other but I guess I know Rayan more-" She added, unintentionally talking about Rayan but stopped instantly when his mention escaped her lips.
'You guys were in the same college and he is your brother's best friend. Obviously, you know him more." He chuckled at her statement.
'But, I guess it's a good thing we knew each other." She mumbled, lowering her gaze, trying not to talk about Rayan and focus on them.
"That's why, I feel relaxed or else, I'd be sweating by now." He told her truthfully but in a jocose style.
"What? No, You're a charmer, you could pull it through with anyone. I'd be sweating, you are too good." Isra reasoned, laughing a little at his words, not considering them true.
"What? No. It would be difficult to manage. Like consider us, I know you like seafood so we are here. I know you like long drives and prefer vibrant weddings over simple ones. You love the red theme, I know a lot about you now." He talked happily, loving her presence, wanting to talk to her and spend time getting to know her better than he already does.
"I guess we are compatible then because I know you love Biryani as much as I do, you love flowers especially Lavenders, you're a bookworm, compassionate and as we all know chivalrous." She ended with a smirk, taking a bite of her food.
He laughed a little, looking down, "I am glad you gave me a chance."
"I don't have any reason to say no. In fact, who would say no to you? The only thing unfavorable about you is you are too good to be true." She smiled, holding his hand.
'Hey, now you are flattering me. I am just a human in the end and no human is perfect." He smiled nervously at her words, enhancing his nervousness.
'I am not lying." She giggled.
"Then, can I ask for something, Isra?" He asked hesitantly, "Hmm, what is it?"
He took a deep breath and said in a sugary tone, "Can you call my name please?" She blinked, perusing his adorable face pleading her cutely to call his name, wanting to know how it sounds on her lips, how his name rolls over her plum lips.
"You never did and I am not even your Boss anymore. I want to know how it sounds, can you do it?" He asked expectantly. Her lips curled widely, giving him a nod, "Sure."
"Thank you."
"Let me try." She said, laughing a little, tugging her hair, she could feel her cheeks heating up, heartbeat getting swift, shivering slightly by satisfaction. She whispered his name while linking her gaze with his, calling his name which sounded no less than a harmony of solace for him who loved the way it came out of her lips, "Emraz..."
And this date was their new start…
