Chapter 015
The 1st set is over, it's lunchtime and I'm hungry.
"Vienna, aren't you going to eat with us?" my brother asked as we were leaving the gym.
"No need brother, you still have soccer practice, thank you," I replied.
"All right Vienna, eat a lot, we're going first. Congrats again, my dear sister." My brother hugged me and I just smiled.
"All right brother, thank you again for the support," I replied and they walked ahead of us.
Tomorrow will be their game, but...
"Tine.." I called. Fortunately, he heard and turned around.
"What I told you, don't forget." He nodded in response and smiled at me.
"Yee.. what are you referring to, Vienna? It's like you both are the only one who understands." This is Michelle again, she's thinking about things again.
"Don't tease her, what is it Vienna?" Therese added.
"Shall I knock you two? Do you want it?" I threatened and they both in silent.
"He can't play tomorrow, I just reminded him of what the nurse told me," I replied.
"Their game was tomorrow, but who are you going to cheer for? Political Science or Engineering?" Therese asked.
"I have no plans to watch. I'm not interested and I'll have something to do tomorrow," I replied.
"Huh? And why? Vienna, it's the most popular event in the history of the university. You won't support your brother or maybe Sebastian?" I just sighed, I was too lazy to watch the game. These two are annoying, especially Michelle. I can't say no to this woman.
"Fine, I'll watch," I replied shortly. The two of them hugged me. I know they are planning something, I feel it. They were dead if they will do something silly tomorrow.
The three of us got to the cafeteria, they both bought food while I just sat here in the chair and looked at them. My phone vibrated, there was a message from Uncle Francis and I read it.
From: Uncle Francis
Vienna, can you deliver two cakes and cupcakes at home? Your aunt Jasmine is craving. Again congratulations, keep it up! For sure your dad was so proud of you.
I just sigh, he ordered me to deliver those but he even added Dad and I hate it!
I have my own business, inherited from me by Dad when he was still alive which is bread and pastry. While my brother has a coffee shop. My brother loves coffee and he probably knows all kinds of coffee. We don't suffer and I don't rely on mom's money. While I was in the state, Dad's sister managed the shop for the meantime but now, it's me.
I called Brother Ed, the shop's delivery boy. Fortunately, he answered my call.
"Brother, please deliver the two chocolate cakes and a box of cupcakes to Uncle Francis. You already know the address, don't you?" I said.
(Yes ma'am, I know. That's all ma'am?)
"Yes, that's all, thank you."
(All right ma'am, you're welcome) Then I hung up the call, I also breathed a sigh of relief. If I wasn't just her relative, I would let her wife crave until she got angry.
Therese and Michelle already bought our food. Michelle placed the food in front of me and I started eating it.
"Vienna, are you okay?" Therese asked, I nodded in response.
"Yes, I'm okay. Uncle Francis ordered me," I replied.
"What did he say?" Michelle asked.
'I was ordered to send a cake to his wife," I replied.
"Are you delivering to them?" I nodded in response. Therese was just looking at us but I think she's confused.
"Who is Uncle Francis you are referring to Vienna?" Therese asked, confused.
"It is the cousin of Vienna's dad, it's Professor Lozano and this friend of yours has a bread and pastry business that her dad inherited from her. Vienna is rich and she bought her car because of her business," Michelle replied. She's the one who answered instead of me.
"Vienna, on my birthday you'll take care of the cake." I nodded in response to Therese.
"Yehey.. thank you, Vienna." I just smiled at Therese and we resumed eating.
But I immediately looked at the door, I saw Britt, Enzo, and Sebastian. Britt and Enzo were talking while Sebastian just followed behind them. I thought Britt would greet me when he saw me looking at him but he didn't. I wondered why he suddenly turned away.
What was his problem? Sebastian used to look weird at me and now he avoids looking at me. What is the problem with the three of them? What did I do? But it turns out, I lost my smile.
SEBASTIAN'S POV
The three of us just followed behind Vienna's back but she didn't notice our presence. I've been watching her since she performed until Tine went to see her with her brother Vince.
I'm not mistaken, she was Vienna, the only woman I loved then but suddenly disappeared. She returned as if she didn't know me, as if everything she saw was new to her.
Is she pretending? Is it all just a show so she won't regret what she did to me before?
Her personality, the way she speaks to someone, she is not like that and very different from the one I met 7 years ago. She is not the woman I staring at now. What happened 3 years ago? How come she doesn't remember me?
"Dad, I'm not sure if she's Vienna but they both look alike. They don't have the same character but Dad, I feel like it was her," I told Dad.
"Son, we haven't heard anything about what happened to her 3 years ago. Her mom was the only one who could answer your questions but we don't know where they live now. I've asked many people about it but they can't answer or give any info to me. But son, whatever their reason is, I hope you will accept and forgive her."
Dad had done everything to find them, especially Vienna but we couldn't find her. Now that I know she is, all the pain I went through because of her loss was all back. I should be happy because she's here again but the pain and anger prevailed against her.
"Bro .. are you okay? You've been looking at Vienna since earlier," Britt asked. I immediately averted my eyes when he said that.
"Are you okay? Now that we know that she is our friend, will you avoid her? How do you feel?" Enzo also asked him.
"Vienna has been my friend for a long time and I have no plans to avoid her. Yes, I was angry with her but she is my friend. Whatever her reason, I will forgive her," Britt replied.
"It's surprising of her sudden disappearance and return. What if something happened to her 3 years ago? Can you forgive her, bro?" I couldn't answer Enzo's question right away. I was silent but Britt looked at me and waited for my answer.
"I don't know," I replied shortly.
If only it were that easy for me to forgive her I would have done it before, but no. Before she came back, I gradually forgot about her. But when she returned, the familiar pain from the past also returned. I missed her so much but she hurt me and she left me.
