Chapter 038
I just finished my class this morning and I'm still thinking about what I discovered about Sebastian. I was walking quietly but I noticed that Therese was already looking at me.
'I'm okay," I said. I preceded her because she would ask me if I was fine.
"Looks like no, you've been quiet for a while since you came back to the room."
See? I am right, right? But I don't know why I've been silent ever since. Maybe because of what I discovered, she didn't know and I had no intention of telling this to the two of them.
"After lunch, will you go straight to the Music Club?" she asked, I nodded in response.
"Just let me know if there's a quiz or assignment," I replied.
"Of course, I'll take care of it," she said smiling while holding my arm.
The two of us arrived at the cafeteria, as Michelle was always waiting for us. I also put the food given by Sebastian on the table and sat down in the empty chair.
"Who did that come from?" Michelle asked.
"From one of her princes, Sebastian," Therese replied. I just shook my head. Geez... I want to pull her hair.
"So sweet of him, Sebastian is also sweet. But whose cooking is delicious, Chef Tine or Chef Sebastian?" Michelle added. They both laughed at me and it was annoying!
"By the way, have you already told Tine that you can't go tomorrow?" Michelle asked again. Fortunately, she reminded me and I don't know how to say that to Tine.
"Not yet," I replied shortly.
"Why not yet? Maybe he'll hope so. It's better if you tell him, he's coming in here," Therese said while pointing at it, I turned around. It's him, he was with my brother and his friends.
"Hi girls," Ian greeted us when they reached our direction. Michelle and Therese just noticed him, I'm not in a mood.
"Have you bought food yet? If not, we'll take care of it," - Laurence
'We will treat you," - Tyler
"What will you eat?" - Joseph
"Leave us, that's all," I replied as the three of them fell silent. Their voices are annoying, I wanted a silent environment right now but they are too loud.
"We're going to buy the food, thank you guys," Michelle said while looking at me.
"Let's talk later Vienna," brother Vince suddenly said and he left. His friends also followed but Tine is still here.
"Follow my brother, I'm okay," I said but I didn't look at him.
"Tine, Vienna is just tired but she's fine, no need to worry," Tine also left after Therese spoke. Geez, I lost my appetite but I suddenly looked in my brother's direction. He was also looking at me but I was the one who avoid his stares.
"I'll eat later, I'm going to the Music Club," I said and I stood up then grabbed the paper bag from the table.
"Maybe Sebastian isn't there yet, just eat first," Michelle replied.
"It's fine, I'll just wait for him there. When you see him, please let him know that I'm at the Music Club," I said and looked in my brother's direction. But this time, it was Tine who was looking at me but I just avoided him.
"Okay friend, we'll just visit you later," I nodded in response to Michelle.
I immediately went out of the cafeteria and met Uncle Francis in the hallway. For sure, I'll get a lesson from him because I didn't go to the twins' birthday.
"Why aren't you eating yet? Where are you going?" he asked. I thought it was a lesson right away, I took a deep breath.
"Music Club, practice," I answered reluctantly.
"Okay, and by the way, we have a family dinner later at home. Last week you didn't go to the twins' birthday. This time you have to go, I told your brother too."
Family dinner? tsk! As if I'm going.
"I'm living in the orphanage now and I'm also busy, just send my brother there," I replied and he immediately sighed.
"Vienna, didn't you even miss your grandparents? They'll come home later and probably they'll look for you."
"Uncle, maybe you forgot what happened to our family? I lost my memory but I can't forget what Mom did. Then now, there will be a family dinner at your house? For what? Announcement for her and Uncle Lucas' wedding?" I said angrily.
My voice has gotten louder that's why everyone looking at us now. When it comes to my Dad, I get really angry.
"When Dad was still alive, did you even consider him part of your family? Didn't you? Everything changed when Uncle Lucas came to our family. Maybe you forgot what happened then, but I didn't," I added making him fell silent. Maybe he understood everything I said. I don't want to be with them and I don't want to see them anymore.
"Please tell Mom I'm not going and thank you for the invitation. Excuse me," I added again and passed him. My tears flowed on purpose, I could not control my emotions.
I don't want to talk with them, after all only my brother is close to them. Even sometimes I don't feel like I'm part of their family. My grandmother betrayed her husband which is my Dad's father. After grandpa died, grandma accepted Uncle Lucas' dad into our family and they've lived together for almost 10 years.
I'm not close with my grandparents on both sides, only my brother. I get along with them but they don't talk to me. They never treated me like their grandchild, never in my entire life. That's why I don't want to be with them and I don't want to see them anymore.
I already cut all of my connections with them since Dad died. Maybe I'm still angry because of what happened then. They can't blame me either. I witness everything that happened in our family. I lost my memory and I can't remember everything but the events that led to the separation of my parents is still on my mind.
