Chapter 066
VINCE'S POV
I just kept coming out of the hospital. I wanted to go to Sebastian to repay him for what he did to my sister. Vienna was hospitalized for what he did and my sister's life could be in danger.
"Bro, where are you going?" Tine chased me but I didn't look at him. The two of us got out and I immediately went to my car.
"Are you going to punch Sebastian? When Vienna finds out, she'll be angry with you. Let go of your anger first, I understand you and I know you're worried about your sister. But don't do it now, your sister needs you," he added make me stopped. He was right, Vienna needs me now. I will pass this day first then I'll talk to Sebastian.
"Go back to the university, bro, I'll take care of it," was my only answer and he nodded in response.
I saw from here where I was standing the car of Uncle Lucas. Mom came out immediately after Uncle Lucas parked his car. Worries for my sister were already visible on her face.
The three of us entered the hospital and I showed them the room where Vienna was. We found my sister asleep while Michelle and Therese were sitting on the sofa. Mom immediately went in Vienna's direction and her tears started to flow.
"How is she? What did the doctor say?" she asked.
"Auntie, she is fine but the doctor said she needs to undergo an X-ray test for her back and a CT scan for her head. She has taken medicine and she is no longer dizzy but her back and head hurts badly," Michelle replied.
I'm worried too much about Vienna's situation now. I don't even think it will happen again, to hurt her physically.
"Who did this to your sister, Vince?" Uncle Lucas asked. I couldn't answer right away, I didn't want mom to be surprised by what I had to say.
"Vince, your Uncle Lucas is asking you, who did this to your sister? Who hurt her?" Mom asked.
"Sebastian." She was surprised by my response, and she immediately approached my direction and looked at me in surprise.
"Who is Sebastian you're referring to?" she asked seriously. Michelle and Therese looked at me confused.
"Mom, let's just talk about this at home, not here because Vienna might wake up," I replied nervously.
"Follow me outside, we'll talk," and she passed me. I could do nothing but follow her. She also stopped in front of a room far from Vienna's room.
"Now tell me, who is Sebastian you are referring to?" She began to ask.
"Martin, mom," She was surprised by my respond, and I know why she reacted like that. She had not seen and talked to Martin for a long time. The last time they talked was on Vienna's 16th birthday.
"Is he and your sister has seen for a long time? Did she met Martin? Did he say anything to your sister?" Mom asked in succession. She was nervous because by the time Vienna found out everything, she would look bad in my sister's eyes.
"They're in the same class but I don't know if she recognized him or not. I don't think Sebastian mentioned anything to her," I replied.
"Why didn't you tell me that Martin was also studying at the university you were attending?"
"Mom, I only saw Martin last month. I thought I was just wrong but he was indeed the person I saw. So I didn't tell you because you might transfer her to a new university."
"That's what I'm going to do Vince so that their paths don't cross. I don't want your sister to know about him. And I don't want her to know what your father did."
'Because of you Dad, we were able to lie to Vienna. Why did you manage to take my sister away? Why did you make such a terrible decision?'
"There's nothing we can do, we can't stop it because we can still hurt Vienna. When she finds out that we hid Martin from her, she will be angry and hurt. If then destiny drove them away but now, they are being brought closer. While it's still early, we have to confess to Vienna before Sebastian confesses to her."
I've made a lot of mistakes toward my sister. I lied to her several times to cover up Sebastian's past. I also feel guilty—I don't want to keep hiding the truth from her. For three years, we kept everything a secret and made her look like a fool. I'm ready to accept all her anger, but I hope that despite the mistakes I've made, she will forgive me.
'Forgive me Vienna and I hope you can forgive Dad too by the time you know everything.'
VIENNA'S POV
I felt hungry so I suddenly woke up. I looked around the room but I didn't see Mom and brother. The only one here is Tine who is currently sleeping on the sofa and looks very tired.
I slowly lifted my body, and until now my back still hurts. Finally, I got up too and I turned my gaze to Tine.
"Tine .. Tine .." Suddenly his body moved, a sign that he will wake up. Gradually, his eyes opened and he immediately looked at me. He got up and headed in my direction.
"How are you feeling? Are you hungry? What do you want to eat?" he asked. I smiled, it was obvious to him that he was worried about me.
"I'm fine Tine, I'm just hungry," I replied.
"Exactly I bought some food for you, just wait I'll fix it first," he said and I nodded.
"Where are they?" I asked and he also stopped.
"They went home first so I took care of you here. They will also come back later," he replied.
"Aren't you from practice? I hope you rest first at your home," I said. He approached and sat down next to me.
"I'm fine, you slept for two hours so I also slept for more than an hour. Here, I'll just feed you, okay?" I was embarrassed to nod to Tine. He immediately smiled and started to feed me. It's embarrassing but I'm really hungry. But I didn't expect him to be here for an hour and watch over me.
"Vienna, can I ask?" And suddenly his face became serious where I didn't expect it.
"All right, what is it?" I answered.
"What happened earlier? Why are you in the Architecture building?"
I don't want to talk about it but I will be forced to tell him. I gasped for breath before I told him what had happened earlier. He was just listening but he couldn't look at me anymore.
"Then after that, Sebastian slapped Denise for what she said. I felt angry because of what he did so I was forced to join them. I talked to him and scolded him, but I didn't expect his answers. I hurt him and judged him. I don't know what he did next but I think, he pushed me." He suddenly clasped his hand, I know he was suddenly angry because of the last thing I said.
"Tine." I held his hand and he immediately looked at me.
"I'm at fault and he's at fault too but I hope you understand what happened. Please don't be angry with him and please don't confront him for what he did to me. I don't want you to get into a fight, I don't want trouble, Tine. I hope you understand me, I'll be the one to talk to him," I said. He also held my hand but he suddenly sighed.
"I understand, Vienna, and don't worry—I have no intention of causing trouble. But I hope you also understand why I'm angry with Sebastian. Whether it's your fault or not, he still has no right to hurt you. I wish I had just taken you to the parking lot earlier—maybe you wouldn't be here in the hospital now."
'It's my fault, Tine, and not Sebastian.'
"Can I ask you a favor?" he asked seriously. I suddenly felt nervous, I don't know why but I don't think I would like whatever he had to say.
"Can you avoid Sebastian? I hope you don't come near him anymore. I hope this will be a reason to avoid him. It's just for your safety, there's no other reason."
I'm right that I won't like what he says. It seems like almost all of them are in favor of me avoiding Sebastian but I don't have plan to do that.
It's only been a month since I met him and within a month I found out his true self. Even if he scolds me, sometimes he treats me coldly but he is kind. This happened to me would not be a reason for me to avoid him. I don't know why but I don't want to do what they want. And I can't admit to myself how I feel about him.
"I'm just one of the women who secretly loves you."
Why are those words said by my mind? Does that mean, I like Sebastian?
