Chapter 090
SEBASTIAN'S POV
It had been four days since Vienna know the whole truth. Until now I still remember what happened that day and until now I still haven't seen her. Even though she stopped me from looking for her, I didn't stop. When she answered my call, I had hoped that I could fix the situation. But suddenly it disappeared when she said that she didn't want to see me yet.
I still haven't stopped finding her despite what she said. But I suddenly remembered what I did 3 years ago. I looked for her everywhere, even though I was hurt during those times because of her loss and my mom left me, I still didn't stop. But days, weeks, months, and years passed, then I realized that she had left me and she would never come back. But after 3 years, she came back but she doesn't remember me. Now that she knows who I am, will I give up and stop looking for her?
I admit I've given up a few times, I've been discouraged a few times but I can't avoid and forget her. Even though I haven't seen her in three years and even though she doesn't remember me, she is still in my heart and how I look at her has never changed. And I only ask for one thing now, that is for her to forgive me for what I did.
"Our exams are over, but Vienna still hasn't returned. I'm worried about her, I hope she's okay and she's doing well," Michelle said sadly.
The five of us are together today, and we're here in the cafeteria. I wasn't planning to come in here because I wanted to look for Vienna, but Britt and my dad stopped me. So, even though it was against my will, I went in and took the exam. However, I couldn't focus because I kept wondering if Vienna was okay and where she might be now.
"We will see her but not now. We need to understand her and let her be alone for now. What we should do now is to wait for her 'cause I'm sure Vienna will come back," said Britt as he turned to me. I understood what he said but I couldn't stop myself from looking for Vienna. I know she will come back, I am sure I will see her and be with her. But the question is, when? When will that happen?
"Sebastian.." I slowly looked up when Therese mentioned my name.
"Are you okay? You're obviously tired and haven't slept well. Get some rest first, you need to be strong for Vienna. Because when she sees you like that, she will get hurt and make her sad," she said making my chest tight.
"She's right, you need to rest Sebastian. Don't wait for Vienna to tell you that. We know you're tired, it's obvious from your face and body now. Don't punish yourself just because of the mistake that you have done to her. Vienna will understand you and we know she will forgive you. If she was able to forgive Britt and Enzo, so can you. Vienna is just really hurt by what she found out so she can't face you yet. But I'm sure, she will forgive you," said Michelle. She forcefully smile at me even though her eyes were sad because of her friend.
They already know everything that happened and I explained to them the reason why I kept to Vienna a secret about me. At first, they couldn't believe it, but they gradually understood the situation when I told them what happened before and after Vienna's accident. They couldn't stop being angry with me and blaming me for what happened. I understood why, I know they were only worried about Vienna.
"Sebastian, why is there no Martin next to your name on the class list? Is your full name Sebastian Martin Ruiz Angeles? That's what I heard when you and your father visited the hospital. I didn't mention it to Michelle especially to Vienna because I might suspect wrongly that you have a connection with her. But I was right, there is. Can you answer why?" Therese asked hesitantly. I took a deep breath before I answered her question.
"Because I don't want to hear anyone else mention that name. Vienna was the only one who called me that, but ever since she disappeared, that name has faded from my mind too." I replied.
"That's why you don't use it anymore, it's because of Vienna. I'm sorry Sebastian," she said.
"It's okay, you also need to know about that," I said. I looked at Michelle but she was obviously thinking about something.
"Michelle, is there a problem? Why do you seem thinking so deeply?" Enzo said. Michelle looked at me wondering that's why I couldn't stop myself from looking at her seriously.
"Do you know Martin San Diego?" She asked which makes me frown. But I shook my head in response, who could she be referring to?
"After you left the hospital, someone left an envelope on the counter and the contents were two pictures of Vienna's mom and dad with your parents. We wondered why they were together in one picture and Vienna didn't remember anything about you. Does your family have a connection with her family or not? But because of what she found out, she was even more confused about your personality. The next day, Vienna looked for the captured CCTV footage on the counter. She hired a private investigator to find the man caught on CCTV. And on Sunday, she found out who it was and that guy named Martin San Diego, who left the envelope at the hospital counter. Vienna thought he was the man she loved before but it wasn't."
I suddenly remembered the day I saw her in her shop. It was obvious from her face that she was confused and thinking a lot, but I was unable to say hello to her at that time. What he did is a mystery, who ordered him to do that? What he did is surprising.
"You are really the man she loved, but we couldn't even guess that you were Martin. I wish you weren't in this situation where both of you are hurting and struggling," said Therese.
"But I hope you can fix it and I hope you can get back what you had before," added Michelle. I took a deep breath, I hope what she said will happen but I'm not sure about Vienna's feelings. I don't know which one of us, Tine and I that she loves but I will not give up, never again.
"Tine is coming here.." Therese said. The four of us looked in his direction.. Vince was not with him and he was alone.
"Tine, how are you? Are you done with your exams?" Michelle asked when he reached our direction.
"It's fine, yes, my exams are over," he replied.
"Brother Vince, how is he? Where is he?" Michelle asked again.
"I'm not sure if he's okay, because after our exams he left the room immediately. I think he's leaving to find his sister again. Isn't Vienna still calling you?"
"No Tine, we are already worried about her. Do you have any idea where she could go?" Therese responded sadly. "There is, but I'm not sure if she's there," he said and turned his gaze to me.
"Where? Tell us," said Enzo.
"In Antipolo.. where they used to live," he answered which surprised me. I stood up hurriedly and was about to leave when Britt stopped me.
"Sebastian, where are you going?" Michelle asked.
"I'm going to Vienna so don't stop me," I replied seriously.
"Sebastian, I'm not sure if Vienna is there, what if she's not there?" Said Tine.
"Bro, Tine is right, don't go there until we are sure that she is there. Didn't Vienna already tell you? To leave her alone first, that she doesn't want to see you yet? Bro, please respect what she said, Vienna will call and you will see her too," Britt said.
I couldn't do anything but follow what he said. But I can no longer sit on one side and do nothing. Vienna has been missing for four days and she still hasn't been found.
Suddenly my phone vibrated and I immediately took it out of my pants. A message that I'd been waiting for for four days popped up on the screen of my cellphone.
"Let's meet, at the place where we first met. I'll wait for you, I hope you come."
From the woman, I love the most, none other than Vienna.
VIENNA'S POV
I took a deep breath after I sent the text message to the person I wanted to see, none other than Sebastian. This is the right day for us to meet and talk.
It's been four days passed since that day when I found out the whole truth about his identity. Until now I'm still hurt and I still can't accept what he did and what my family did to me. For four days, I thought about nothing but that and Sebastian. But because of what happened on Monday, I gradually remembered the things we shared before. It's not that clear in my mind, but it's a big help for me to get to know him better.
------FLASHBACK------
I couldn't hear any noise around me. What happened? Why can't I hear anything? Am I dead?
I slowly opened my eyes, that's how surprised I was when I saw the truck stopped right in front of my car.
"Ma'am.. ma'am! Are you all right in there? Ma'am, can you hear me?" I turned to the window but I couldn't answer him because of too much fear I was feeling right now.
------END OF FLASHBACK------
I just cried because of the fear I felt at that time. I thought that was the end of me, thank God he saved me from the brink of death. I am also thankful to the driver of the truck, he did everything to save both of our lives from harm.
After what happened, the police and an ambulance came. We were taken to the hospital for a check-up and the driver, the nurse treated the wound on his forehead. It hit the steering wheel of the truck when he braked hard to avoid running me over. I didn't stay longer at the hospital, after the police talked to me about what happened, I immediately left to look for a place where I could spend the night.
The next day, around eight in the morning, I left the apartment and went to my shop. When I got there, Sister Jessie was shocked when she saw me carrying a suitcase. I also told her the reason why I left home and she also mentioned to me that Sebastian was looking for me. Because of that, I didn't stay long in the shop and left immediately before Sebastian saw me. I've decided to go to Antipolo and live there first to get away from them, especially Sebastian. And now, I'm here in the place where I grew up and where I first met him. Living here was a new experience, but I was able to handle it for three days. Little by little the pain I was feeling disappeared, little by little I remembered what happened in that house before and little by little I got to know myself.
With the help of Aunt Maricel, Mang Eduardo, and Father Manuel, I slowly recovered from the pain and hardships I went through. I was so grateful to the three of them because they never left me and they never left even though I was pushing them away. If it wasn't for their help, my life might have been completely ruined.
Thursday afternoon, I was very surprised when I saw my brother outside the house. I don't know how he knew I was here. I didn't do anything but show up and talk to him.
