Chapter 049
SEBASTIAN'S POV
I and Vienna just finished our practice. I am currently sitting now while she, I don't know where she is. After practice, she suddenly left without saying anything. Her actions are confusing because earlier while she was singing, you could feel the nervousness in her voice.
"Son, eat first," Sister Louisa said as she headed in my direction. He put the food he had brought on the table.
"Thank you, Sister, where's Vienna?" I asked.
"She's in her room, maybe getting dressed. Why? Do you need anything from her?"
"Um no, Sister, thanks again for this."
"Nothing son, when you need anything don't be shy to tell me," she said with a smile.
"Sister Louisa, can I ask you a question?" I asked. Maybe this is the right time to ask her that thing. I will not waste this opportunity.
"Okay son, what is it?" She replied and sat down in the vacant seat.
"Vienna tells me that she was taking care of a kid?" I start asking.
"Yes, but the kid is fine. There he is, Billy," she replied while pointing to a kid who was sitting while playing chess.
"He was close to Vienna, that's why she didn't hesitate to come here when Billy looked for her. We are very grateful to Vienna because of her the kid's condition has improved. What she even told us before, Billy is said to be the best gift she has ever received in her whole life, Sister Louisa added. What does she mean? I don't understand.
"What do you mean, Sister?" I wondered.
"Billy was the reason why Vienna recovered. Gradually the memories of his sister came back because of him."
Gradually? But why he didn't know me? Or remembered me?
"Do you know what happened to Vienna?" Sister asked. It's bad to lie to the person in front of me now but I have to do it so that I know some information.
"I don't want to tell you this because Vienna might get angry but because you are her friend and classmate, you also need to know. Vienna had an accident before, she was in a coma for two weeks and she didn't remember anyone since she woke up. That's why her dad decided to take her here and to live here to be healed and for her to recover from the accident. In almost a year of her stay here, she recovered because of us and the children. She remembers a little, not completely but that's a great help to her. That's why she's very grateful to the kids, especially to Billy for their help."
I fell silent because of what I have discovered. Does Uncle Rey know about this? He was the reason that I couldn't find Vienna before? He decides to bring his daughter here but for what? To stay away from me? To us?
"And I never thought that Vienna would decide to adopt Billy for his safety. She doesn't remember anyone else but her personality hasn't changed since I first met her."
I can't seem to breathe, I'm having a hard time breathing because of what she said. Why did Uncle Rey manage to take Vienna away from us, from me? Why he didn't tell me before where was his daughter? I didn't think that he could do that for Vienna, to keep everything from me.
VIENNA'S POV
I was running out of the orphanage when I heard Sister Louisa screaming for help. What happened? I'm nervous already.
"Vienna! Here, Sebastian," Sister Celia called to me. I ran in their direction and found Sebastian was having difficulty breathing.
"What happened?" I asked. I didn't know what to do, my whole body was shaking.
"We were just talking and I just noticed that he was having trouble breathing," Sister Louisa whispered.
"Sebastian, Sebastian hey, look at me. Sebastian, you need to calm down," I said and held his face. He was crying. What were they talking about and this is what happened to him?
"The ambulance is coming here, Vienna, we need to take him to the hospital."
I ignored what Sister Celia said, I was more worried now about Sebastian's situation. I couldn't think of anything else to do but just hug him.
"Please stop crying, please you need to calm down. I'm just here okay? I won't leave you." I don't know what caused this to happen to him but I feel like he is hurting.

"It's a good thing nothing bad happened to him and his breathing going back to normal. Not like before, what happened to him was even worse."
I'm talking to Britt now, he's the first one I called to let him know about what happened to his friend. Sebastian was not taken to the hospital and he chose to rest here. He is currently in my room, sleeping with oxygen attached to his nose.
Sister Louisa told me what she and Sebastian had talked about earlier. I didn't expect him to react in such a way that it made him have trouble breathing. The nurse said earlier that traumatic stress had happened to him. Britt's said, it already happened to Sebastian after his mom and the woman he loved left him. Every time he remembered that incident, he suddenly couldn't breathe. He doesn't seem to have any heart disease, that's just how his past affects him.
"Vienna, thank you for helping my friend. You saved him, you eased the pain he was going through," Britt said with a smile.
I suddenly remembered what I had told him earlier. I never thought those would be the words that would come out of my mouth. But I wasn't surprised when he hugged me tightly, I also felt relieved. He's not totally fine but I made him feel that no matter what happens, I won't leave him.
I went to my room after I and Britt talked. I found out that Sebastian was still sleeping. I sat down in a chair and looked at him.
He's in pain, both mental and emotional. I feel him, what happened to him before had happened to me. I have been traumatized before because of the accident and also because I found out that I have amnesia. But I overcame that because of the help of the children and the nuns.
I sighed, why did this happen? Why did this happen to him again?
As far as I know, Sister Louisa said nothing about his mom and the woman she loved. It's about my story and Billy. It wasn't told completely but that wouldn't be a reason to hurt him. I know he has other reasons but I don't want to know about them and I don't want to add to the pain he feels.
