Chapter 10: He Might Have Recognized You

The four of them went straight back to the mansion. Hungry, Chloe and the two kids devoured the food that Elene had brought back. After the meal, the two little ones went upstairs to take a shower. Elene looked meaningfully at her best friend. "I don't quite understand why you're avoiding Quintus. Didn't you agree to a divorce back then? Why are you so afraid of him now? And, what was the reason for your divorce? You never told me what happened several years ago." Meeting her gaze, Chloe subconsciously lowered her eyes.
