Chapter 49: I Hate Daddy
After feeling annoyed, Quintus found it somewhat laughable. She didn't have the qualifications, in his eyes, she never had any...
Chloe self-deprecatingly lowered her gaze, refraining from saying anything more. Then, with a determined effort, she raised her hand and slowly loosened the grip of Grace clinging to her clothes.
Grace wanted to reach out again but was caught mid-air by Chloe.
"Daniel and Leo are still waiting for me. Be good and go back with Daddy. Okay?"
Chloe patted Grace's head, placed her hand by her side, hastily greeted the teacher, and then left without looking back.
In the car, the two little ones were sitting upright. Seeing her getting in, they innocently asked, "Mommy, what's wrong with you?"
Chloe took a deep breath and forced a smile, "Nothing, let's go home." With that, she started the car and left the entrance of the kindergarten.
On the other side, Quintus was still standing there, his gaze heavy as he looked at the teacher beside him. "Her sons are also studying here?"
The teacher wasn't sure what grievances existed between them, but she could clearly sense the oppressive aura around the man. She cautiously replied, "Yes, Miss Stanhope's twins also attend our school--"
Before she could finish her sentence, Quintus's cold and stern voice interrupted, "When did they start?"
"Just... a few days ago," the teacher answered cautiously.
"Inform your principal, immediately expel those two children from the kindergarten. Otherwise, next semester, Ellington Group won't invest a penny in your kindergarten!"
Quintus's countenance was shrouded in a deep, ominous shadow, his expression reflecting an intense displeasure that seemed to cast a gloom over the surroundings.
Having said that, without giving the teacher time to react, he picked up Grace and left in a stride.
As they left the kindergarten, the car that had been parked next to his was no longer there. Quintus glanced at the spot and then retracted his gaze, carrying Grace and getting into the car.
As soon as they got into the car, Grace struggled to get out of his arms. Quintus didn't stop her, letting her climb to the other side.
Grace, with an aggrieved look, held a small notebook and forcefully wrote on it.
After a while, the sound of the pen stopped.
She was evidently quite upset. Unlike her usual habit of coming over to tug at his clothes, she sat there holding a small notebook, glaring at him.
Quintus furrowed his brows, sighed inwardly, and turned his head to take a look. He saw a line of words written on the notebook. "Why don't you let the twins come to school!"
Seeing that Daddy was looking, Grace angrily raised the notebook to his eyes.
Quintus frowned slightly, withdrew his gaze, and said coldly, "No reason. If you must know the reason, it's because I feel like it."
As the words fell, he felt some movement from the side of the seat.
Turning his head, he saw Grace angrily throwing the notebook aside. She then shifted herself to the position next to the window, turning her head away forcefully, though she didn't speak. Her entire body conveyed the message: she didn't want to see Daddy.
Quintus raised an eyebrow, "Being angry won't change my decision."
Grace turned her head again, glared at him with an angry huff.
She hated Daddy!
She liked Chloe and the two boys. However, Daddy had a dispute with Chloe and forbade the two boys from coming to kindergarten! Thinking that she wouldn't be able to see the two boys at the kindergarten anymore, Grace felt sad.
Daddy was really unreasonable! She didn't want to like Daddy anymore.
