Chapter 11: The Mute Kid is Here Too
In the Ellington family Mansion.
Late at night.
Quintus stealthily entered Grace's room and tucked in the blanket that she had kicked off. The little girl slept soundly, and Quintus watched her for a while before turning to leave.
As he stepped out, he encountered Hudson coming up to report, "Boss, I went to that restaurant, but the monitoring system was broken. I couldn't find anything."
Upon hearing this, Quintus's brows furrowed slightly. "Such a coincidence?"
Hudson looked somewhat embarrassed and hesitated, "Maybe it's just a coincidence. After all, Mrs... No, Miss Stanhope has been gone for so long, and we haven't had any news of her for these years. It's unlikely for her to suddenly reappear in the country."
As he spoke, he noticed the change in his boss's expression, which instantly became serious. He felt a tightness in his heart and lowered his head, refraining from saying anything more.
"Okay." Quintus responded with one word and turned to enter the bedroom.
Early the next morning, Chloe, having finished breakfast, took the two little ones to the kindergarten recommended by Elene.
She was always efficient in her work. After confirming the kindergarten last night, she settled all related matters overnight. Today, she brought the two boys to handle the enrollment procedures.
As Elene mentioned, the entrance requirements for this kindergarten in Phoenix were quite high. The students here were either from wealthy or prestigious families. The screening process for parents was also very strict.
When Chloe arrived at the principal's office, she was asked to provide her occupation and net worth, along with relevant supporting documents. Fortunately, Elene had forewarned her about these requirements, and Chloe was well-prepared.
Although she wasn't a CEO or a board member, her top-notch medical skills had earned her a considerable amount of money over the years. Her net worth was significantly higher than the hospital's requirements.
After reviewing her documents, the principal's attitude became more respectful. "Miss Stanhope, I will now proceed with the enrollment procedures for your children. Please sign here."
Chloe cooperatively wrote her name.
Soon, the principal called in a gentle-looking teacher to accompany the two little ones to their classroom and familiarize them with the environment and classmates.
The two little ones waved to Chloe and followed the teacher without any crying or fuss, disappearing around the corner.
Watching their backs vanish, Chloe stood up to bid farewell to the principal. Unlike other parents, she felt very at ease with her two little ones. They had been brought to the research institute from a young age, growing up in a social environment, so they were not shy or timid. Their adaptability was strong.
As for the kindergarten courses, for those two little prodigies, there was no difficulty at all.
Instead of worrying about them being bullied in kindergarten, Chloe was more concerned that they might bully other children. After all, the high-end talents in the research institute had endured some persecution from the two of them.
On the other hand, the two little ones were led into the classroom by the teacher, curiously looking around as they walked.
The teacher warmly introduced them to everyone, "Children, these two are our new classmates. Let's all welcome them, okay?"
The kids below looked curiously at the two little ones. The two little ones were quite at ease and confidently introduced themselves to their classmates. They were cute and outgoing. After the introduction, the other kids below applauded one after another.
Leo looked around and suddenly, his gaze fell on a certain point in the crowd, as if he had discovered something. He gently tugged on his brother's sleeve and whispered, "Look, isn't that the girl we met last time? She's also in this class!"
