Chapter 19: The Kiss
The man's scorching lips pressed against hers, their breaths intertwining.
Chloe's mind went blank instantly. She hadn't expected Quintus to actually go this far!
The man's hand, squeezing her jaw, was exerting force, even trying to make her open her mouth.
Chloe suddenly snapped out of it and struggled regardless, "Let go of me! Are you insane? This is a private room! Someone could come in at any time!"
Due to her resistance, Quintus retreated slightly. Coldly pulling down his lips, he said, "So what? Wasn't it you who said you wanted to compensate me? Are you afraid now?"
Chloe's eyes trembled slightly, resisting the memories of that night. That night, perhaps due to the effects of the drug she had administered, Quintus indeed had little consciousness. However, his instincts were still there, and throughout the entire process, he acted recklessly, applying considerable force. As a result, recalling that incident now, she felt nothing but pain; there were no other emotions left.
Now, the man's presence lingered beside her, with a faint hint of alcohol in the air. Hearing his words, she began to tremble imperceptibly.
Seeing her lack of response, Quintus's eyes darkened, and he leaned in for another kiss. Compared to before, this kiss was more forceful.
Chloe, restrained by him, couldn't move, but she gradually felt a sense of panic. Six years had passed, and her body still seemed defenseless against this man! If he discovered her reaction, what difference would there be between her current self and the one from six years ago in his eyes?
Thinking of this, Chloe instantly sobered.
Sensing the man's attempt to deepen the kiss, she took the opportunity to fiercely bite his lips. The taste of blood quickly spread in their mouths.
The man's movements paused for a moment, and the next second, the kiss became even more intense!
Chloe was kissed to the point where she could hardly catch her breath, and her body gradually softened. It was only thanks to the man holding onto her hand that she didn't slip away.
After a while, Quintus stopped, his voice almost a whisper against her lips, his voice hoarse, "Didn't you say you felt nothing? Why are you so soft? Chloe, your body is much more honest than your mouth!"
Chloe breathed heavily, about to retort when she suddenly felt a large hand reaching to her chest!
Sensing his movement, Chloe, like a startled cat, found a surge of strength from somewhere. She pushed him away and slapped him in the process.
"Quintus, didn't you say you wanted to be with Stella? I've granted your wish. What are you doing now? Seeking revenge on me? If so, you've succeeded! Back then, it was my immaturity that led me to use such drastic means against you. But as you wished, I didn't bother you anymore, and I won't bother you in the future! So, let's put an end to this!"
After saying that, Chloe glared at him fiercely, opened the door, and ran out without looking back.
At the door, Hudson had just finished dealing with those troublemakers and was guarding the door. He saw Chloe run out from inside, froze for a few seconds, and then hurriedly went inside to check on his boss's condition.
Upon entering, he saw a dimly lit room. His boss stood in a corner not far from the door, his head tilted to the side, face slightly flushed, lips still oozing blood, and an almost tangible aura of hostility surrounding him.
"Boss, are you... okay?" Hudson's heart trembled, and he approached cautiously, expressing concern.
Quintus's face was gloomy. He touched his cheek, then ran his thumb over the corner of his mouth, feeling the dampness on his fingertips.
That woman really bit hard, as ruthless as ever.
Glancing at the bloodstains on his fingertips, Quintus responded through gritted teeth, "I'm fine."
After saying that, he walked out of the private room.
"Chloe, go ahead and run! Now that you're back in Phoenix, there is nowhere for you to hide!" Quintus thought to himself.
As he exited the private room, the drunkard from earlier and his henchmen were still lying on the ground, groaning in pain.
Quintus coldly scanned the people on the floor, turned around, and ordered Hudson, "Disable his hand."
Hudson, sensing the low pressure emanating from his boss, nodded without hesitation. "Got it!"
Quintus didn't say anything more; he simply turned and left.
