Chapter # 50
Laying on the bed without a shirt which Zariah was wearing, he was resting his back against the bed frame.
Her arms were wrapped around his. Glancing down at her, he pressed her more into his bare skin.
Whatever happened, her words of being afraid, they left a deep impact on him.
So he created a resolve in that moment- No more distances.
‘Only if that Prince hadn't shot me,' He thought sadly.
Tracing his thumb over her shoulder to caress her as gently as possible.
‘And I hadn't lost my memories, things would be much more convenient and we would be like this so much earlier….'
Taking a deep breath, he shifted down to embrace her firmly.
She smiled in his arms, the way they encased around her, gave her the sensation of cloud-nine.
'Don't worry, Zari, I won't let anything happen to you,"
Closing his eyes, he fell into his daze as well.
Remembering how his feelings developed but they revolved around the same point of view the whole time.
…. To make her blind, it didn't brimmed recently, it boiled inside him from the beginning…
Back when he was fifteen, leaning against the railing, he watched Issac go wild all because Zariah failed to impress him.
She was hiding under the bed in dread, the same as him.
With a bored look, he was witnessing the sight until Isis came in between.
'Issac, please, she is just a child,"
And those words recalled a long lost memory, the moment when he hid under the bed and Prince's father growled at Guru.
'Guru, please, they are just children,"
'I don't fucking care!"
'I don't fucking care!
‘The main reason why I resented Issac to the core was he was just like him.'
They spoke the exact same words. Zariah's father was like Guru.
Exactly like him and it outraged him to the point during his marriage, he took his wrath on her too by not believing her and calling her Issac's puppet.
'Why are you standing and being a spectator? You know your order could stop him, right?" Walsh interrupted with a feeble smirk.
'Issac, stop it, stop being an animal,"
'You shut up!"
And he slapped Zariah across her face who was trembling in horror.
'Come here you damn brat,"
'Do you want to do something, Young Master?" Walsh spoke up again when his eyes narrowed, glaring at the unwanted sight.
It pierced his chest.
'Father, please, I am sorry, I won't lose a fight again, I won't fail a test too, please, let it slide this time-"
'Shut up,"
She was there, as miserable as him.
He could have saved her, he could have done anything for her.
'Well, what can we say? She is his puppet after,"
But, he didn't.
And that incident had affected him too much. His one interruption would have diffused the situation yet he decided to walk on her.
To the point that stung his heart.
And when he found her still going after that man who hurt her, who never gave her respect, it ended up enraging him.
'Why is she after him after what he did to her?" He growled.
Not liking her grinning at Isaac, just to attain his acknowledgement.
'Because he had hypnotized her to follow all his orders and become his perfect creation,"
'What…?"
'Yes. Not many knows this but she is his weapon, in the upcoming days, she will become one of the deadliest human killing machine,"
Walsh told him, he knew from the start that she was under hypnosis and it used to shatter his heart whenever she mentioned her father.
'Tsk,"
From the very start, he didn't want her to beg Issac.
Before he could realize, his young blood pumped and entangled him in the web of an unstoppable attraction.
Soon enough his rage converted into hopelessness.
"Those are her wishes which her eyes hide but I can see."
He breathed out, leaning on the wall, the smile not leaving his lip.
"But, why such attraction for nobody?"
"Walsh. Don't you ever call her a nobody."
Walsh was taken aback at his command, not expecting him to hold such intense feelings for her.
"I am more attached than you think. She is also finding acceptance like me. Being where we don't fit yet finding a place" He smiled.
He knew what tribulation he was facing, being Valencia's son. The leader, the King but he ran away.
The coward. He hated it. He hated them.
"And those beautiful eyes not to mention."
He shook his head to disregard those thoughts, turning to her.
She made him forget his life, his misery.
'What do you think? They are similar to yours."
'Do you hate those eyes?" He asked, leaning to his level but his young self only stared into her haunting eyes.
'No, I love them."
'Then go." Walsh pushed him forward.
'Hey-"
He tried to move and his movement was seen by Zariah, having their interaction where Nathaniel confessed-
'I got this for you."
'You think I am as vulnerable and pathetic as this rose?"
'No, I believe you are beautiful and graceful like this." He spoke what came to his heart, mentally cursing himself when she gave him weird looks.
'You should smile more,"
'Why?"
'Because your smile provides me solace."
It merely started as a young love, they were growing, feelings induced, it blazed their hearts. Their love sparked indubitably.
But, before he could comprehend, Nathaniel began to resent the way she stared at her father in admiration.
Those pretty eyes seeking his validation when she required none, it stabbed him, the heaviest sensation for him.
And upon finding her smiling at her father, he was growling under his breath until Walsh noticed and asked vaguely.
'What happened? Where are you lost?"
'I want them to exist for me. Worship me in the same way they worship Issac. I want her to become all mine, Walsh." He declared.
Taken aback, he blinked at the announcement from the young blood. He hadn't seen such a blaze in his eyes before.
They first burned for her.
And it got worse after their prom incident.
He lost hopes, his expectations vanished, all of which distressed him immensely.
Because he wanted her to choose him under all conditions, to be devoted to him only, to be his, only his.
Which failed and that elicited senseless wrath in him.
'Shit!"
'See. She will choose her father over and over again, she won't submit to you. She is hypnotized to work in such a way," Walsh reminded him sternly with a sight.
'And as long as Issac is still here, she will never be mine completely, Walsh," He growled.
And in that moment, a sinister plan laid out in his mind.
Pushing his hair behind after the ruined prom, he whispered his intentions openly.
'I need to break her faith in him, then break her and fix her myself to make her submit to me,"
Walsh gasped not expecting him to unveil his blood's side so young.
'What the hell are you saying?"
Breaking into a deadly chuckle, his desire to have her declined to be ceased and with amplification, he spared a malicious glance.
Flinching at the darkness, uncanny for an eighteen year old, he swallowed hard, worried for his future as he smirked dangerously.
'I am going to make her a worshiper of my existence,"
'How are you going to do that?"
'First get Issac out of the way. Then fulfill her promise of giving her power so she reaches a point where nothing but ‘I' will exist for her,"
He had his priorities set straight from the beginning, he knew what he yearned for and what he must attain. His unwavering resolve perturbed Walsh.
But, he knew convincing him for a better path would be futile.
He had no ethical chains to pull him back.
'You will become a dangerous worshiper then,"
'Since when did I deny that I was not?"
In the upcoming years, after losing his memories, he never left her trails, she dwells always in a buried corner of his heart.
And after settling his life, he was prepared to make Zariah his bride.
'How are you going to do that?" De Villiers asked, not believing he agreed to marry Zariah through a contract marriage.
'I will make her submit to me, making her my worshiper that nothing but I will exist around her," He smirked viciously.
‘Even after losing memories, he is still stuck on that,' De Villiers sighed mentally.
'And Issac?"
Scoffing, he waved his hand, not caring in the slightest about it.
'Alessandra will kill him, she will hate her. No me in this picture and it will be good if I stay away too,"
'Why?"
To De Villiers arched eyebrow, Nathaniel responded seriously.
'Because my darkness will kill her,"
'And yet you want her to worship you,"
'I most certainly do. Let's say some desires are heartless, De Villiers," He enunciated, keeping his intentions straight towards her.
She was the darkest desire of his existence.
'I want to be surprised that I am not, you are your parent's blood after all. The same wicked blood," De Villiers sighed in defeat, pinching the bridge of his nose.
'Hey, not parents. Mother's only. My father was the most honorable man I have ever met,"
'Yes, yes, my bad,"
Nathaniel smirked wickedly, ready to place his plan perfectly in action.
Marry her.
Save her.
Make her hate him and leave her life peacefully forever.
But, why leave her?
Because he never wanted her to witness his dark side but couldn't resist the urge to do so too, departure was too much for him to grasp.
So he took the risks nonetheless.
But, in the end, he smiled to himself proudly that he managed to gain what he dreamt of.
‘All this planning, knitting a web, going through complexities only to have her beside me. So that I could become ‘her' world.'
Coming back to the present, finding the adorably sleeping woman next to him and then he smiled, accepting his defeat wholeheartedly.
‘But look, in the end, the contrary happened. ‘She' had become ‘my' world…'
Zariah had grasped his soul in her palm that he couldn't leave her.
That for her, he could give up on his long lost resentment too. She had cast a spell on his soul which he gladly accepted.
'I will always love you, Zariah,"
Kissing her shoulders, he pressed her body into his, drifting back to sleep with an embraced cognition.
After all this time, when he wanted her to be sightless for him, instead-
He had come to the eventual realization that the one who was becoming blind and hopeless in the end… was HIM.
