Chapter 11: It's Good to Be Alive
Anna on the other end of the line handed the phone to Julia, "Elizabeth told you to call, didn't she?"
Julia was too intimidated by Anna's powerful aura to speak. She could only stand still until Anna left. Then she patted her chest, "Phew, that's scary. But why is Anna here? Didn't she always hate places like this?"
Walking out of the bar, Anna took a deep breath, "I feel better now."
She felt her heartbeat and narrowed her eyes, "It's good to be alive."
It was then that she donated her heart to Soros. As everything around her became a blur, she couldn't help but feel remorse at the thought of her life ending like this.
She never thought she'd be able to open her eyes again and feel her heart beating again. She wasn't sure it made sense.
After she finally calmed down, she thought about the half-dozen months before she had ever married Soros.
At this point, she was at a cocktail party. It was at this cocktail party that she had made up her mind to marry Soros.
And then all those things would happen like before.
Anna always thought that she could controll everything, but she was never able to control Soros' heart!
Then she simply said goodbye to the organizers of the party and left early. Then the gossip said that she was the only one who could turn the situation into a disaster and save Star River Group, just like she did in her last life.
Of course thr public opinion was manipulated by her in her last life. It could be said that she really did so much to marry Soros. But unfortunately, in the end, she didn't get what she wanted.
She didn't want to be so scheming. But when her desires turned into obsessions, she couldn't help but be pushed by them and eventually fell into the abyss.
In this life, she decided to spare herself and Soros. She was tired and wanted to get away from all these people.
But this time, Soros actually took the initiative to throw himself at her with the encouragement of others.
She wasn't impressed, just terrified. This was completely different from what she had thought. In any case, they shouldn't have any chance to meet each other.
Sooner or later, Soros would meet his Elizabeth. They would get married and have children, and she would just be a nobody.
That's ironic! It turned out that if she ignored Soros, he would throw himself to her?
But if he needed her, why was he acting like a superior?
She'd been taking care of him for ten years. Of course, if something was easily accessible, he would take it for granted and despise them.
Anna laughed to herself at the thought, "Not anymore!"
So, she simply refused Soros. At that moment, she saw the glint of gloom in his eyes. Obviously, she had offended him to a great extent.
But since she had decided to stay away from him, it didn't matter!
