chapter25 why did i not receive
James noticed her immediately, "Anna, you're finally here, I've been waiting for you for a long time."
Anna smiled faintly, "Is that so? Then I apologize for keeping you waiting."
If she remembered correctly, this James was not a nice person and they didn't know each other before.
It was obvious that he had come up to greet her because he was doing something bad.
But, to her, any danger that she could see in her eyes was not dangerous.
It was while contemplating this that another person came. It was Soros.
Anna saw a woman took his arm. Anna wondered, wasn't he in love with Elizabeth? Has he moved on?
No, this woman looked a little familiar, Anna thought. She was Julia Janney, Elizabeth's best friend.
She used to use a cell phone, and now it looked like she was trying to take Elizabeth's place.
Everyone here basically knew about Soros. They whispered, not daring to chat loudly.
After all, these people stood off to the side and laughed at him. How generous of him not to go after them.
When the presenter ended his speech, Soros shook off Julia Janney's hand and walked toward Anna, whom he had been staring at for a long time.
Anna was chatting with one of her partners at this point, and the two of them were a great fit and had roughly finalized their next collaboration.
That's when a voice rudely interrupted them, "Anna, where have you been all these days? Do you know how long I've been looking for you?"
Soros grabbed Anna's arm and growled. He looked furious. Especially when he became nervous as he watched her chatting with another man he didn't recognize.
Anna broke free of his grip and frowned, "Soros, what the hell are you doing?"
She could tolerate other things, but if he dared to jeopardize her business, she would not be merciful.
Soros gritted his teeth, "What are you playing at? You want me to worry about you, don't you? Are you happy now that I'm worried about you?"
"Stupid asshole!" Anna brushed off the hand that tried to grab her arm again and said contemptuously, "It's your stupidity that you can't find me. Why don't you ask Mr. Sumanth why they can find me!"
Mr. Sumanth kindly interjected, "When Miss Anna started her company, she changed her phone number, but she called to let us know."
"Why didn't I get a call from you?" Soros questioned, as if Anna had deceived him.
But they weren't even a couple, so how could Soros accuse her of cheating?
Anna stood there, arms clasped over her chest. "You blocked my number a long time ago; do you need me to remind you?"
Soros shook his head repeatedly, "I didn't. I took your number off my list a long time ago."
Anna shrugged, "Oh, then maybe I was still blocked the day I called."
The frown between his two eyebrows deepened. After all, it was possible he had deleted her number when he was reborn.
