Chapter 21 - Shopping
Joey was embarrassed when he realized that Anna didn't have her ears pierced.
He covered his face with his other hand and decided to leave. But when he was almost to the door he stopped for a moment.
"What's wrong?" Anna thought it was really funny to tease him.
Joey held up his hand and removed an accessory. It was a doll born with fire, symbolizing nirvana and rebirth.
He bought it. Anna knew that it did seem a bit expensive to him with his current finances. She couldn't understand why he bought it.
After thinking about it, she realized that he didn't seem to like those things, so he bought it as a gift for another girl?
Now this doll became a thorn for Anna.
But she had to admit that when she first saw this doll, she really liked it.
With that in mind, she dragged him out of the store and started shopping in the women's department.
Though she was shopping now, there were no brands she liked.
Occasionally there was something cute, but she was soon put off by the poor quality fabric.
Joey had been with her for half a day and remained refreshed and in high spirits.
In contrast, Anna was disturbed by the poor quality.
She glared at him in boredom, "Guys always don't like shopping with their girlfriends. Why are you so exciting? "
Joey amusedly explained to her, "You didn't buy anything, so you don't need me to carry your bag; On the other hand, this is the first time I've been to such a fancy place, so I'm naturally interested."
Hearing this, Anna was stunned. Why was that? Was she really not cut out for shopping?
At that moment, Joey boldly patted her on the head, and said contentedly, "Everyone's good for shopping. There's just nothing here for you."
Anna realized he was comforting her. As it turned out, she had asked the question aloud when she was lost in frustration.
Though a bit unmoved, her heart was touched and she decided to let go of bold Joey for a while.
But after that, Joey dragged her to a popular Chinese restaurant where she even didn't wanted to step in.
Despite her heart's reluctance, Anna ate the food all.
Joey giggled and looked at her, "How's that? Isn't it great to eat a lot and forget all your troubles?"
Anna was about to retort, but suddenly had nothing to say. After all, she really did seem to have forgotten a lot of her troubles!
Seeing that she was speechless, Joey paid the bill and took her out to get two cups of bubble tea.
Anna then watched as he served the two cups of tea.
Before she could say anything, Joey said, "Don't worry, I've worked here before and they have good, safe and hygienic materials."
