Chapter 19: Hanging Out With Him
Her words immediately startled Joey. He instantly remembered the last time he rode in her car, and to be honest, it wasn't that memorable at all.
Joey's retreat made Anna sneer, "Get in the car or I'll go down and kick you in. You can take your time, I'm in no hurry."
Joey looked at the school gates not far away and began to think about how long it would take to run from here to there.
That's when Anna's demonic voice came back, "Of course, you have every right to run far away, and if you don't want your roommate to think you're for sale, you'd better behave and do as I say."
Joey shuddered at this and raised his finger to her, "This is illegal!"
Anna stared at him, "What?"
He exhaled softly and nodded, "Don't touch me and I'll go with you."
He could see the seriousness in Anna's eyes just now. It was obvious that she was the type of person who could do anything to get things done. You wouldn't want to mess with her. He was still very much aware of that.
Upon entering her car again, he noticed a startling change inside.
Those old jewelry pendants were gone and the car was clean, like a new car from the store.
He kept chattering, "Where's that little doll that was hanging here?"
"In the trash." Anna's words were devoid of emotion.
"Did you just throw them away?" He thought the doll must have been expensive.
Noting his objection, Anna said, "They were something Soros didn't want, so why would I keep them?"
"Uh, okay." Joey watched the sarcasm flicker in Anna's eyes as she said this.
A little flustered at the lack of conversation, he said, "It's early. Do you want to hang out with anyone?"
"You!" Anna said with an expressionless face that scared Joey.
He quickly waved his hand and said, "No, no, no, I'm no fun at all, young lady. I'll suggest a couple games you'll like!"
"Hey," Anna panted, "how pointless these games are. You're more fun."
Joey: "What's going on ......"
Joey wanted to cry.
However, he was relieved when Anna pulled over.
Because it was a shopping center, people were busy.
This was definitely a place Anna had never been before.
He could clearly see Anna's frown.
But this time he learned his lesson well and kept quiet.
Finally, after sitting in the car for ten minutes, Anna got out of the car with him.
Anna grabbed Joey's arm to hide her nervousness at seeing too many strangers.
At the same time, she was thinking that if Joey dared to shake her hand, then he was absolutely dead.
