Chapter 34: You Wouldn't Lie to Me
The truth was, all she needed was to vent her emotions. She needed a unique tool to store her passion that had nowhere else to go.
That's when Soros received a message from Anna about Elizabeth and her husband.
Soros's hands were shaking. He didn't want to deal with this and wondered why he didn't check this before.
He thought of Elizabeth in his last life. Had she lied to him in the same way? Someone must have helped her cover this up. None of that was the most important thing; the most important thing was that he was cuckolded.
This had been going on for so long. He really couldn't take it and yelled, "Elizabeth!"
He clenched his teeth, scaring his friend next to him. He didn't dare speak, much less provoke Soros.
But the truth was, he wasn't so much afraid of Soros as he was of the woman who took care of Soros, and he really didn't want to mess with her.
That creep, Anna, kept everything under control. Even if she seemed nice, everyone thought she was setting traps and waiting for them to jump in.
That's why no one dared to get too close to Soros. Anna had kept Elizabeth's marriage from him, but now, based on the look in Soros' eyes, he seemed to know!
His friend sneaked a glance at Soros' cell phone and relaxed. It was Anna.
At this very moment, he wondered if Anna had fallen in love with the college boy and left Soros, whom she had previously loved so much.
But even though he was so desperate for an answer, he didn't dare ask Soros. They all knew Soros got along well with them, but he didn't think too highly of them.
So he asked his other friends to see what they were thinking. Unsurprisingly, they all believed that Anna had done it on purpose.
Soros was angry, so he didn't have time to think about what his friends were thinking. He just wanted to find Elizabeth, but unfortunately, he didn't know where she was.
After thinking about it for a while, Soros called Anna, "Anna, can you give me specific information about Elizabeth?"
Anna was a little confused, "Don't you think I'm lying to you?"
"You wouldn't lie to me," Soros said with great certainty, "Anna, I'm sorry."
Anna was stunned, "Stop, that's it. I'll email you later."
It took a little while for Soros to receive all of Elizabeth and her husband's information in great detail, including the hotel rooms they had booked.
Elizabeth had always been so gentle and sweet that he couldn't accept that she had lied to him.
He was a rich, handsome man. How was he no better than that fat-headed, middle-aged and bald man? It was all so ridiculous.
A feeling of disgust sprang up at the thought that he had even married Elizabeth before he was born again.
Soros spit out the wine he'd been drinking. What a mess.
