Chapter 26 - Are You Worthy of My Heart?
Soon Soros ran out of topics. Anna was pulled away by her partner, and he found a corner and filled himself with acohol.
Anna was a little worried, but she laughed to herself when she saw Julia approaching him.
After all, he'd never lacked a confidant and never needed her.
After they finalized the details of their partnership, Anna was about to head back when a waitress handed her a small slip of paper with room 309 written on it.
She hadn't wanted to go there at all, but she was afraid something bad would happen so she decided to go.
When she got up to the third floor she was immediately welcomed into 309 and there were quite a few people in there.
There was even an unexpected person, Joey. He was drugged and his eyes were hazy.
The criminal stared at her with a wicked sidelong glance.
Anna looked at James Channing without moving, "James Channing, you really lack creativity. Tell me what do you want? Say it. I'm busy."
James pulled Joe to his side and smiled strangely, "Ms. Anna, there's no need to rush. I just want to work with you, but you've been a myth. I'll just have to start somewhere else."
Anna cocked her head and pointed at Joey, "Someone else?"
James lit a cigarette, "Don't worry, he's yours. We haven't done anything outrageous!"
Anna sighed. She wasn't the type of person who liked to be threatened, but Joey had a pretty face and she liked that!
There was a pleasant discussion about the next step in the partnership.
Finally, Anna hugged Joey down the stairs. She was actually quite strong, she just never had the chance to show it.
But the guy had his hands hanging around her neck and refused to stay still, so she just wanted to drop him.
But honestly, she's trying to find a way to trap Joey around her and reassure her. James had sent Joey to her directly and it had made her a little embarrassed.
So, she was going to give James something that would be popular in the future!
Anna carried him smoothly to the car, and was surprised by a very unpleasant sight.
She turned her head. Apparently Soros was drunk, and Julia was accompanying him, occasionally glaring at her.
Anna looked at Joey beside her and then at Julia Janney behind her.
She said nothing, just waved to Soros and got into the car.
The driver had just started the car when there was a knock on the door.
Anna wordlessly lowered the window, "Soros, we're breaking up. Just leave me alone, okay?"
Soros reached out and grabbed her wrist, "Anna, I know you're mad at me. Come back with me, okay? What's so great about him? He doesn't deserve your favor!"
Anna asked back, "What about you? What's so great about you? Are you worthy of my heart?"
