Chapter 45 The End
She pushed the door open only to hear a thud; ribbons fluttered off her head, and Anna was confused.
She looked around in confusion. A group of supervisors stood next to the shy Joey.
At that moment, a subtle sense of foreboding flashed through her mind.
Joey dropped to one knee toward her, took a ring box from the back, and began stumbling over his lines.
Suddenly, unbearably, he shut right up, took Anna's hand and put the ring on her hand.
Joey closed his eyes and said, "Anna, I've been preparing for this for three years. I've always felt like I didn't deserve you, so I've been working really hard."
He unconsciously choked up, "Today, I finally dare to say the true words of my heart. Anna, marry me. I want to have a family with you."
"Whether you say yes or no, I'll be good to you until the day you say yes. Of course, if you like the other guy in the middle, I won't give up; I'll snatch you up!" Joey said excitedly.
Anna saw the seriousness in his eyes and the uneasiness. At that moment, she seemed to see herself.
When Joey was a little confused and was about to lower his head, Anna took his hand that was about to drop and whispered, "Then marry me."
Joey was surprised because he thought she would say no. He continued nodding, fearing that Anna would regret it, "Yes, yes!"
Anna smiled, pulled him up and kissed him.
The sound of "click" rang in her ears. The scene, recorded by coworkers, would be preserved forever.
After the proposal, they worked while preparing for their marriage.
Their wedding date was Valentine's Day.
The wedding was not very grand but not simple.
The things they used at the wedding were powered by new energy sources, which were both environmentally friendly and safe.
Plus, they were both beautiful, so it attracted a lot of comments online.
The company used the wedding to promote their new energy equipment directly.
On this day, Soros died of an allergic reaction to peanuts, resulting in severe heart failure.
His death did not cause the slightest fluctuation.
Before this, Soros was tested for heart failure, but no one would have cherished him as much as Anna, not even his mother Caroline.
He realized he was allergic, but the moment he saw Anna get married, he only wanted to eat peauts, so he put himself in the ICU.
Someone told Anna about Soros' death, but she replied, "Oh."
She's living a happy life now, and Soros can't affect her anymore.
Joey hugged her from behind the next moment, "Anna, what do you want to eat tonight?"
"Steak, Joey, don't forget the toppings this time." Anna smiled.
Thoros, actively seeking death, felt noises around him and opened his eyes at once.
His mother's worried, red eyes caught his attention, and his voice hissed, "Mom?"
Caroline crazy rings the doorbell and catches Soros's hand, "Son, mommy is so afraid, and once again, mommy can't stand."
Soros was confused for a moment. Everything gradually became evident in his mind. He's back?
He covered his heart, touched the obvious scars, and cried loudly.
He growled inside, Anna, Anna, but she would never respond to him again. She was in another world, with another person, living a delighted, unbelievably happy life.
It was a long, long time before the doctor finished examining him, and Elizabeth arrived.
Soros knew everything, and he ignored her and returned to Mer's home.
After this, they divorced. He ignored her complaints and sent her to the police station with her ex-husband.
Because he couldn't live without someone around, Caroline stayed behind to take care of him. For once, mother and son depended on each other for half their lives.
Later, Soros focused on philanthropy, and in his later years, he donated everything he owned.
Before he died, he heard Anna's voice and laugh.
