Chapter 28 conditions
Joey shook his head, "I'm not leaving, you all lied to me. I'm going to trick you all back!"
"Good boy!" Anna clapped him on the shoulder, "Good idea. But I don't know if you can do that!"
Joey looked at Anna in confusion, "Anna, aren't you being a little too nice to me?"
"What?" Anna was confused for a moment, "Am I nice to you?"
Joey nodded affirmatively, "You took me out of there. In fact, if you didn't want to, you could have left me there to die."
Hearing this, Anna couldn't help but slap her head, but not hard, "Bullsh*t! I'm a bit cold-blooded, but I can't stand by and watch a nice young man get ruined by that asshole!"
Joey was about to cry.
Thinking maybe her tone was too harsh, Anna asked, "What grade are you in? What major?"
Joey looked at her blankly for a moment, "Soon I'll be a senior, and my major is Energy and Environmental Systems Engineering."
Upon hearing this, Anna didn't say anything at first, but there was a long silence.
Joey was a little nervous. "Is there a problem with my major? It's not popular, but I still think it's somewhat useful."
Anna looked at him, "You're such a weirdo. Obviously, you should have chosen economic management. How come you chose to major in energy?"
Joey frowned, "Economics was good, but I didn't like it."
Anna nodded, "Yes, if you don't like it, why force yourself?"
Joey didn't understand, "What did you just say, miss?"
Anna smiled, "Nothing. Come work for my company if you want, but it's just the beginning. I probably won't pay you a lot of money."
Joey was stunned, "Huh? You're going to give me a job?"
Anna nodded, "Yeah, what's wrong?"
Joey hurriedly nodded, "Thank you very much, miss."
His happiness was not feigned.
At this time, she thought of something and asked, "Are you very short of money?"
Joey scratched his head, "As a matter of fact, the scholarship can pay for my life. But I wouldn't be alarmed if I had money in my hand, so I want to save more."
Hearing this, Anna couldn't help but praise him with a thumbs up, "You're really a good boy!"
Joey laughed awkwardly and boldly stepped forward to hug her, hurriedly letting go.
He whispered, "Miss, no one has been as good to me as you have since my parents died."
Not only that, but she had helped him many times when he was in trouble.
"Uh," Anna couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed, "You really do think too much. I do all of this on a condition!"
