Chapter 42 - You're My Boyfriend
Anna said so much at once that Caroline and Soros didn't even get a chance to speak.
It was a self-analyzing process that even made her hurt and choke up several times.
But she knew if she didn't, there would be endless trouble.
So she did.
She hadn't been happy over the years, especially when facing Soros.
Looking at his ugly face at this moment gave her an inexplicable pleasure.
By the end of the conversation, Anna was much more relaxed physically and mentally.
Soros was in silence. He collapsed.
As for Caroline, her eyes were red from crying.
On this day, Anna had no more work to do and went straight home.
When she returns, she finds that Joey, who was supposed to be at work, is actually waiting for her at home.
Anna was confused, "Are you done with the job at hand? You're back so early."
Joey nodded and sat down towards her, "Anna, you're crying."
His somewhat distraught expression dazzled Anna, and she laughed, "Ha, it's okay, it's called tactical crying. They won't dare bother me again."
Joey immediately hugged her, "Anna, I can tell you're unhappy."
Because her smile looked bitter, Joey felt unpleasant.
"No, I'm happy." Anna calmed down and felt an inner peace, a feeling she hadn't had in a long time.
She pushed Joey away steadily and looked him straight in the eye, "Joey, I want to ask you, how do you feel about me?"
It was so blunt that Joey immediately blushed. Encouraged by the look in Anna's eyes, he swallowed and said firmly, "Anna, I like you."
Anna smiled, this time really from the heart. She offered to put her arm around his waist, "That's really nice, Joey. You're my boyfriend from now on."
Hearing those words, Joey sank into it, "Anna, I'm sure you've thought long and hard about saying that."
"That's for sure." Anna nodded affirmatively; for once, she was going to enjoy life.
Joey was so excited that he couldn't control himself, "Anna, I've meant to say that for a long time. Your place is monotonous, so let's set it up like a home, shall we?"
Anna thought of something, "Joey, those things in your room, you can get rid of them; if you don't like them, I'll buy you new ones."
Not expecting her to bring it up, Joey smiled and took Anna's hand, walking to her room, "Let me show you!"
The original decorations were long gone, replaced by a hot arrangement that Anna found soothing, "Look at this. When did you start this? Did you plan this a long time ago?"
