Chapter 39 Forcing Him to Learn
Did she hate roses? Soros couldn't believe it. He had asked her before.
No, he had asked what flowers girls liked in general. He was courting Elizabeth when his relationship with Anna wasn't as bad as it is now until he knew what she was thinking.
Soros pinched the bridge of his nose and tried to throw the rose in his hand into the trash, only to be yelled at by the sanitation worker next to him, "Young man, if you're going to throw it away, why don't you give it to me?"
He thought momentarily and handed the worker the flowers, then watched as he opened the bouquet and gave it to a passing child.
The children were overjoyed to receive the flowers and expressed their gratitude to him one by one.
Yes, the sanitation worker told the children that this uncle wanted to give them flowers, but he was a little embarrassed.
So Soros was surrounded by these enthusiastic children and was a bit overwhelmed.
Even though his icy face discouraged the kids a little bit, they looked at the flowers in his hand and thought the uncle was a nice guy. He didn't know how to express himself.
Immediately afterwards, Soros drove off.
Although in the end, he was a little happy because of those kids, what he wanted didn't materialize.
Soros drove to the beach to get some fresh air and turned off the phone. For a while, he didn't know what he wanted to do. There wasn't much to think about.
After staying all day, Soros still didn't want to give up. He thought his mother and Anna had a good relationship and made a call to seek her help.
Caroline flew back from overseas three days later when Anna and Joey had gone to New Zealand on business.
The partner was an important client this time, and both were very careful.
Not only that, but they even conducted mock drills, mainly to train Joey, of course.
Joey was already a qualified and regular employee when the project was successfully completed.
Anna was very pleased with his abilities. He was so adaptable that he was simply a genius.
She felt that Joey could go to that prestigious university if he wanted to continue his education.
Ultimately, it was his orphan status that limited him.
Although he had been working before, he was unable to continue his studies due to the limitations of his classes.
Now that Anna was willing to do everything she could to train him. How could he not be grateful? He even began to thank his roommate, who had tricked him into entering the bar in the first place.
If it weren't for this accident, he wouldn't have seen such a good development in his life, right?
