Chapter 32: Teach Him a Lesson for You
He was livid when he saw me with my disheveled clothes and messy hair.
"Is it Neil?"
I nodded.
He took off the jacket he was wearing, draped it over my shoulders, buttoned it up for me, fixed my hair, and then walked into the room.
Soon, the sound of yowling came from inside.
I stood for a moment before going in to stop Elias.
Even though Neil deserved a lesson, I didn't want Elias to get into trouble for him.
Eventually, Neil sat on the couch with a bruised nose and a swollen face, while I sat on the other side with Elias after showering and changing my clothes.
Neil had sobered up and was shaking with fear, "Boss, I was wrong. Please give me one more chance. That wasn't... that wasn't me, really."
"It wasn't you?" Elias sneered, "Was that your twin brother? Or are you trying to say that you actually have a dual personality?"
Neil blushed, "No... It's not like that... I..."
"You are a graduate of a prestigious university and well educated. Why did you do such a despicable thing?" I hated him yet felt sorry for him, "You destroyed your own future and no one can save you."
He covered his face and cried bitterly, "But Elias..."
I got up and walked over to him, "Do you know why Elias can with me?"
Neil looked inquisitive.
I took Elias's hand and said word for word, "Because he's my lawfully wedded husband. What we've done is reasonable and legal. Do you understand?"
Neil's mouth opened so wide he could have swallowed an egg.
"He's... He's your husband?"
"He asked me not to expose our relationship and I complied, letting him start out as an intern with you all. I've never offered him any favors and he's always been strict with himself. This time, I let both of you follow me on my business trip mainly because I appreciated the ability of both of you. However, the result turned out to be like this."
Neil regretted deeply.
"I was wrong. I'm really sorry." Neil knelt down in front of me, crying bitterly and begging for mercy.
"It's too late."
I always distinguished kindness and hatred clearly. The fact that he could do such a thing today showed his lack of sincerity and I didn't want to show mercy to such a person.
"Boss, I beg you. I will thoroughly rectify my mistake. I was just overwhelmed by jealousy and misunderstandings this time and I didn't... didn't do it intentionally."
"Jacqueline, may I say a few words?"
I looked over at Elias.
"He's still young. If you really leave no room for him, his life will certainly be ruined."
I raised my eyebrows, "Are you unaware of what he just did to me?"
His eyes darkened, "That was why I beat him badly."
I was speechless, "..."
"Besides, most of the reason he did that was me. He thought I could take a shortcut so why shouldn't he."
He was right, actually.
"So, tell me, what should I do?"
"Let him work on that project Jenkins told us about."
Now, not only was I shocked, but even Neil was so shocked he forgot to cry.
My gaze went cold, "Elias, you can't be too kind."
Neil was too scared to speak.
Elias saw that I was angry and pulled me aside, "Do you know what kind of people are available and the most terrible in this world?"
"What?" I asked.
"If you fire Neil today, or even push him to the wall, he is likely to do something horrible. Besides, Silvan has been eyeing you with hostility. He might use Neil to do something against you. Secondly, Neil is indeed hateful for making such a mistake today, but he also has a great sense of guilt. If you take advantage of this, he will be a capable assistant that you can trust and will never betray you."
I raised an eyebrow at him.
"Elias, tell me honestly, why do you know how to use people."
"Don't care about me yet. Just tell me if you agree or not?"
I looked over at Neil, who was full of guilt and remorse.
Honestly, I appreciated the talent and I didn't want him to fall from grace, but I couldn't convince myself for the time being.
"Let me think about it."
At night, Elias stayed with me.
I was still a little scared, "Elias, if I hadn't gotten a ready wit in the emergency, or if you hadn't come in time, would I have been able to save myself?"
"Just thinking about it makes me want to slap him to death."
Elias kissed my lips and soothed me, "I probably wouldn't have been able to control myself if you hadn't come in and pulled me out just now."
He smiled, "Thank you, or we'd be talking through a wall for the rest of our lives."
I was touched.
I thought he had just pleaded for Neil because he hadn't cared about me at all. In fact, he had been no less scared and furious than I had been.
Otherwise, he wouldn't have beaten Neil up like that.
However, he was also very sensible.
He thought everything clearly in a flash. He was afraid that I would drive Neil mad and cause Neil to become one of my scourges in the future.
He thought far enough ahead.
Such love made me feel like I was standing on a cloud of happiness and I was floating.
"Elias, I love you."
"Me too."
"What did you say?" I hadn't heard him clearly.
He didn't say a word but sealed my lips with his directly.
Bit by bit, he kissed my cheeks, my eyes... From my forehead to the tip of my nose, he left wet saliva everywhere his mouth went, but I didn't feel disgusted. I just wanted to hold him tight and ask for more.
It was only when the clothes on my body were removed by him piece by piece and the coolness came up that I opened my eyes and looked into his beautiful eyes in silence.
Elias was really amazingly sexy with his desire.
He looked at me for a few seconds, his eyes fixed on me. He touched me with his slender fingers as if he was playing the piano. I couldn't help but moan when he entered my most sensitive spot with his lips and tongue.
"Elias..."
"Shh, don't say anything. Take your time and feel it." He glanced up at me, his eyes crystal bright. There was suspicious liquid around his lips.
I couldn't help but let out a gasp.
Elias was so charming like this.
He succeeded in bringing me to the top with his lips and tongue. I lay on the bed breathing heavily when Elias pressed up, smiling, "That was just the appetizer and you can't take it anymore?"
I gasped, "Neil was right about one thing."
His eyes darkened and he lifted me up so that my legs were around his waist and he entered me so fast that I didn't have time to react.
