"Okay it's awfully quiet in here". "But I can hear noises". "Your imagination is just way too wild you imagining that a beast would pop out of this ghost house is a lie". "Honestly, I can hear chatters, several people talking at a time arguments sounds somewhat like a bar". "Listen to yourself Ari, a bar at an amusement park, a fun place for kids and teens having a bar who is going to patronize them, the kids who just want a ride on as many horses and plastic elephants as possible". Paul laughed "Or parents who are busy watching out for their kids who know next to nothing". Aurora added "Or Aurora, who can't wait to go home and paint". Paul said and winked with a laugh. "Nice one paulo". Aurora said with a look that didn't say nice at all. "I'm for real guys". "Why is your vampire awake, that's the only reasonable explanation why you can hear chatters and we can't". Aurora said giving her a pointed look. "What! Arianna did you actually wake your vampire up cause you were scared of fake ghosts, they're humans playing as ghosts, are you sure she's not an hybrid". Paul joked. "It's not funny, you guys might not be scared but that day in grade 2, Bella had resumed limping according to her she saw a ghost house and it broke her legs". "Bella was just trying to scare those kids I'm her squad and even those kids weren't shaken by her story it was such an obvious fake". "Well I had sleepless nights cause of that made up story so maybe I'm hybrid but you'll have dig up my dead parents so you can find out". "No need, hybrid or not we love you just alright okay, we just wish you were holder on your existence and reality, you're not a frail human you're a vampire a royal blood". Aurora said words she had always wanted to tell the princess. "Calm down everyone, can we go back to the fact that we have seen no ghost since we entered here". "Maybe, they realized the haunters are about to be haunted". "Uhn,were we here to haunt anyone, don't do anything stupid Aurora". Arianna said. "I'm not doing anything stupid I just meant they probably heard our conversation and got a scare, you think those frail humans can withstand a baby vampire". "Yeah, yeah, I'll make that my morning mantra so I'll remember not to fear what is below me". Arianna said sarcastically. "Yeah, yeah sure I'll really love that then we won't have a scaredy cat on the throne and as your future knights we woul9have too much to do". "My future knights?" "Yes, empress at your service we are". Paul said and made a mock bow which after he exchanges a serious look with Aurora. Flashback to twelve years before now The kids were only six at the burial of emperor and empress Melville, their young daughter wouldn't stop crying, no matter how many sweets the relatives offered it wasn't working all she wanted was papa. Aurora and Paul had gone to her aunt to ask what they could do to make her happy, aunt Fiona was at the grave and they had promised her to be by Arianna's side for life and be her loyal friend and knights. "Arianna, I hope you always have it in mind that you are never alone, if you weren't secured with coming to the ghost house we could have cancelled and you didn't have to awake your vampire, I'm here to protect you". Aurora said with a serious look that Arianna had never seen. "Fine, I'm sorry, I was wrong alright, I won't do that again calm down daddy". "You're forgiven only this one time, there is no next time alright". "Yes dad". "Who is your dad". "You are actually stricter, my dad was never this angry before". "Well mademoiselle, sorry to break your heart but I've always been this strict". Aurora said. "Aren't you guys sidelining me way too much I haven't said anything for minutes". Paul said pouting. "You can keep staring at us no qualms, did you really hear chatters Arianna". Aurora asked back to her serious version again. "I did". "How about now". "Still the same". "Still the same"? Paul asked. "It means there's something going on in this place, that also explains those men we saw earlier who were looking for some agents". "Okay- "I think we should hear for ourselves". Paul said and immediately they awakened their vampire senses, if something was really going on here they needed to find out. "Was it so loud in here". Paul exclaimed. "I think there's a hidden room next to this ghost house, if the chatter was faraway we wouldn't have been able to hear it, it's not our specialty afterall". Aurora said. "Quite amazing, what could they have to hide to set up a bar in an amusement park". Arianna said looking rather deep in thoughts. "Definitely some rather dirty jobs and activities for all we know they could he running a mafia or planning a revolt or whatever". "I am curious though, those men earlier, they're definitely vampires also are they the ones using this place for secret activities or are they also here to help fight against the secret activities". "I don't think they're bad people, the man who spoke to us definitely isn't, neither the short dumb beside him". "If you say so I believe however there definitely is more about this park than the physical eyes, let's go home now". Arianna said, it's better for them to play safe they are no detective. "I think Ari us right and if indeed the men we met earlier aren't bad people then they are here to catch the bad people so let's allow the pros take care of things". Paul said however curious he was he had promised aunty to watch over the girls he had a responsibility over them. "Fine let's go home, I also don't want to see us in danger, and also we have to protect the empress". "Let's head out". Just as the trio takes a step forward they hear a gunshot and it is succeeded by three others. THE VEIL ON THE DARK
