Chapter SEVENTY THREE.

' I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to. It came out all wrong." Arianna said pleadingly, her eyes fixed on her neatly polished nails and new sandals. She had searched the whole house before falling finding where she was. ' It shouldn't have been you, Arianna. It shouldn't have been." Selina lamented. ' It really isn't what you thought, Selina." Arianna tried explaining. ' It's fine, Arianna. It really is. I just want to be alone." Selina responded.and walked away. Arianna let out a heavy breathe. She couldn't say she was tired of having to deal with this. After days, Selina was still angry with her and it felt like Damon was avoiding her. Ever since then, most dinners I spent here got so quiet unless Paul stayed over and tried to get chatty. Aurora could be chatty too. Mrs Salvatore had tried asking them several times what the issue was but every time Damon would respond with. ' Arianna should know." Arianna didn't know if she was supposed to explain to them all since it was never her fault in the first place. Maybe part of it was but not entirely. ' You good? You don't look too okay." Aurora said and settled in the chair, chewing on the apple she had picked up from the bowl. ' I'm good." Arianna lied. She hadn't noticed Aurora coming down and she knew if she continued like this, she might start to lag behind in school because things like this got to her mentally. ' Aurora." Arianna called softly and settled in the chair beside her. ' Hmm." Aurora responded and looked her way, the apple shoved in her mouth. ' Everything is my fault." Arianna broke out. ' Huh! What is?. You might need to speak more clearly." Aurora replied. Arianna let out a sigh before starting the story. By the time she was done, Aurora burst out laughing and Arianna ended up raising her brows in a quest to know what was so funny. ' Oh! I would have loved to see." Aurora informed with the smile still stuck on her face. ' See what?." Paul's voice came from behind and soon he walked closer to us. ' You might want to sit for this or your let's might give out from the laughter." Aurora said and waited till he sat. ' Now tell me. I'm curious." He said, sounding excited. ' Arianna fell in the pool while trying to reach out for her band and drowned. Damon had to take her out and now she thinks it's her fault that Selina is pissed at her for seeing them both drenched. Plus she might have said something about them both kissing when all he did was give her a mouth to mouth." Aurora narrated and it didn't sound any funny to Aurora. ' Oh that's bad. How are you feeling now, Arianna?." Paul said with concern. ' Finally someone with an actual heart." Arianna scorned then turned to Paul. ' I don't know. Selina seems pissed and Damon seems to be avoiding me." She said sadly. ' Selina will get over it, Aurora. She is probablyworked up about something and you know Damon too well, he seems like he avoids everyone so don't take that to heart." Paul said. ' Arghhh! Sometimes you act too soft and I can't take it." Aurora scorned and rolled her eyes as she picked up another apple. ' What's for Dinner tonight, I'm starving?." Arianna asked, changing the topic. ' I don't know. We should ask Mrs Salvatore." Aurora responded. ' It's weird how you never really call her Mom." Paul chirped in. Aurora shrugged in response. ' We should go ask her. Maybe we can be of help." Paul said. ' You guys can go. I'm tired." Aurora responded and chewed on the last of the apple. ' I will go." Arianna volunteered and stood up. ' I will go with you." Paul volunteered and stood up too. ' Don't worry. I will be fine." Arianna responded. ' Let him go with you Ari. What if you trip and fall off the stairs this time?. Damon isn't around you know." Aurora teased and let out a loud laugh. ' Ah Ah! That's so funny Aurora." Arianna snapped then eyed her playfully before exiting the room. ' Hey kiddies." Brandon said playfully from behind and walked closer to them, pulling them both in a hug. ' Well you are back early." Aurora responded and stepped backwards, breaking the hug. ' Aurora said you went horse racing." Paul said, sounding amazed. ' Hmm hmm." Brandon hummed in response, nodding his head positively. ' Can I go with you someday? I would really love to see." Paul said, his look sober with his lips pouted as though he was trying to form a crying face. ' Of course kiddo." Brandon responded. ' What of brother?. I haven't seen him all day." Aurora asked Brandon. She was starting to believe Arianna's words. Maybe he was really avoiding them. But why?. ' He should be here anytime soon. He was supposed to come with me but he had to attend to something." Brandon explained and heard the sound of the door closing. He turned around and sighted Damon coming in. ' The talk of the devil. Hi brother." He greeted. ' Hi everyone." Damon greeted coldly. ' I'm tired so I am going upstairs." He added and proceeded to leave. He heard the loud sound and paused, stopping in his tracks. They all did. ' What is that?." Brendon asked. ' Guys! Guys!. You need to see this." Arianna ran out screaming and they ran up the stairs.
