"Arianna". Selina called from the door. "Selina, you're back. How was your outing?" Arianna answered as she approached her, it seemed as if she was hiding something outside. "Can you come out here?" Selina whispered. "Really? I dropped something, imagine neither I nor Damon noticed". Arianna replied, quickly walking out the door. "Great! It's my mom's birthday tomorrow and I want to surprise her early in the morning so I went to buy a cake but now I'm puzzled about where to keep the cake". "You didn't think of that before leaving home". Aurora whispered making the two jump in fright. "When did you come here?" "I walked down and heard Arianna saying she dropped something, aunt Betty couldn't see you from the kitchen but I could standing on the stairs". "You're awake already?" Arianna asked. "Yeah, who took me up?" "Damon carried you upstairs". "Okay good, now you both came up with a solution yet?" "No, we're yet to". Selina answered. "Aunt Betty, we're going to be gone for a bit we just want to get a cake real quick". Aurora ducked her head through the door and shouted. "A cake? Aren't you interested In the pizza anymore?" "Nah, well have the cake at night". "Okay be careful". "Alright mummy". "Wow, that was brilliant". "Good and we get to walk also". "We're still in our uniforms though". Selina says and drops the cake in the backseat as Aurora said and they go out. Returning home with a second cake which Aurora and Arianna had insisted on buying since they also wanted to celebrate her, but the cake was gone. "Thought you said be wouldn't dare touch it". "Well thank God we bought another cake, if he ate that one you could have this one". "Then what about you both?" Selina asked now worried that her plan could fall through. "You think I wouldn't send Damon out even at 2.am to get back my Cake?" "We should head inside". "You're back... Oh no you both went out in your school uniforms and without the driver". Aunt Betty lamented. "We're sorry". "The pizza is in your room already". "Thank you aunty, Selina let's head upstairs to continue". Aurora says and pulling Arianna along walks forward swiftly. " Yeah sure, I'll just quickly drop the cake in the fridge for you". "No I want it in my mini fridge upstairs". "Okay then let's go". "Let's get to Damon's room first". Aurora says and turns the other way when they were up the stairs. "Where did you keep my cake". Aurora asked as soon as she threw open the door. "On the table over there". Damon pointed to the cake box sitting gingerly and unopened on his study table. "Did aunt Betty see you bring it up". "No she was in the kitchen the whole time. Where did you get a cake? We didn't buy one ". "Well that's none of your business". "Is it for aunty Betty's birthday?" "Yeah, but how did you guess that". "It's marked on my calendar, driving through town today and I saw an hairpin it looked antique so I bought it as a gift for her". "So you knew but didn't say anything to us?" "Well, I only remembered as I was driving through town, it's not always you remember things". "Great! Arianna can you possibly bring our pizza here ?" "Sure, Selina please grab the second cake let's keep it in Aurora's fridge ". "Okay, thank you". Selina picks the cake and leaves the room with Arianna. "Why do you want to eat in my room?" "Nothing just since you're here and without a companion, we might as well keep you company". "Without selina?" "Of course with Selina". "Are you trying to matchmake me?" "Bring a chair from there for yourself Ari, I'll take this one". "There's just two chairs how would Selina make do?" "I was just about leaving...". Selina smiles softly and makes to walk out, when she's stopped by Aurora. "No you just make do with the bed, let me get us drinks from my room". Aurora says and quickly walks out of the room. "Okay then". Selina replies and biting down on her lips, sits on the edge of the bed. "Arianna can you come help me with this?" Aurora calls from her room. "Oh.. sure". Arianna responds and quickly evacuates the room. "Nice, was this a plan work?" Damon sneers. "What do you mean?" "Obviously, those two planned this I'm asking if you're in on it?" Damon asks while staring at selina who had been left behind. "Why would they plan this?" "Well maybe because everyone can see that you have something for me. Are you bad at hiding it or you're not trying to hide it at all?" "You think I'm so hungry for you that I'm using any underhanded means possible?" Selina scoffs before standing up to her feet.
