Chapter 59
"Paul, if you're still in that room after two minutes i would gladly leave without you". Mrs Saint shouts from beneath the stairs.
"...and I would gladly stay back home". Paul shouts back while fixing his tie.
"Get your ass down here Paul saint". Mrs Saint retorts, now obviously fuming if she doesn't make it in time to the cathedral, the men of this house was certainly going to hear it.
"Wouldn't wanna try that, would you?" Mr Saint whispers laughing as he got to the door of Paul's room.
"Here comes the black Knight". Paul retorts jokingly.
"Here let me help fix that, so you wouldn't make me miss lunch as well".
"Let's just get to church shall we". Looking dapper in the two piece suit matching suit that Paul and his father wore. The two men certainly had the looks to make any woman salivate.
Standing below the stairs looking elegant as always in a british royal style gown, Mrs Saint's whole anger could only dissipate while she beheld the sight before her.
"Is this why you two spent ages upstairs, to look this clumsy?" Mrs Saint chided.
"Are you sure we look clumsy, cause I could swear you looked shit thrown off gazing at Dad earlier". Paul retorted.
"Let's get to church". Mrs Saint blushes grinding her teeth. That boy deserved to miss lunch over this.
The drive to church was a rather Swift one. Mrs Saint kept asking the driver to step on it as she didn't want to miss the hymn and they were already running late.
"Get down Paul". Mrs Saint drops as soon as the car engines were off.
"Yes my queen".
"Good morning Lady julianne". A sister at the cathedral greeted immediately she sighted Mrs Saint.
"Good morning sister Dorcas". Mrs Saint greeted back with a smile. She always loved the sisters, they were respectful and nice to everyone.
"Five more minutes and you would have missed the hymn". Sister Dorcas says smiling.
"Even the nuns know you only come for the hymn". Paul whispered.
"I'm better than a certain someone who would rather not step foot in at all". Mrs Saint retorts as they walked to the cathedral.
"Be quiet you both, mother and son pair acting like rivals". Mr Saint chided the two.
"Aren't we..?" Mrs Saint asks with an innocent look.
"You're not! At least I wasn't aware of such development".
"You could have just said you weren't aware it's the fault of your cluelessness".
"Shhh now, you husband and wife pair arguing over an argument". Paul whispers as they were now inside the cathedral.
"Nice sight I must comment".
"It's the climax, keep quiet". Mrs Saint whispers. Total silence filled the room, it was like everyone else heard the order. The choristers were now walking in, they looked so elegant and heavenly In their uniform.
"Amazing, excellent, perfecto". Mrs Saint shouts as everyone stood up to applaud the choir, who had just sang beautifully. They surprised everyone and outdid themselves.
"Time for the speech". Paul laments.
"You both should not dare sleep today".
"....but it's usually boring". Mr Saint.
"Stay awake and listen".
"Urrgh... That was one long sermon today. The preacher also outdid himself, unnecessarily. It's the outdoing Sunday". Paul laments as soon as they were outside.
"Shall we head home..?"
"Your mom's going to say the ceremonial hi. You should know that by now".
"It's another Sunday if me wishing it was avoidable".
"You lie. I know".
" So here we go..... Right mom?"
"You two can keep your opinions to yourself".
"Our sincere apologies my queen, we thought you were interested in knowing".
"Obviously you thought wrong..... Good morning sir Francis". Mrs Saint smiles greeting the first person for the day.
"...and if it's not beautiful lady Julianne, it's nice to see you again. I saw you quite enjoyed the choristers singing earlier.
"Not just quite... I totally fell in love with the voices and the song. It was quite heavenly".
"Brother matthias should hear this".
"Was he in charge?"
"Yeah... Bother not, we do not want his head swelling too much".
"Whose head". A brother asks as he approaches the two.
"I think you know just well who we're referring to".
"Yeah,.... I overheard and decided to come say hi".
"Lady Julianne was just praising the hymn ministration nonstop. Keep up the good work". Sir Francis commented.
The great things went on with me saying it occasionally be calling on hall and I always try to say hi to the people she glued her after what seemed like forever there were finally done and ready to leave for the house all couldn't be more overjoyed as he was the first person to board the car.
"That was one long Sunday".
"Indeed it was, our queen I hope you had a very fulfilled day".
"You know anytime I'm sitted there and the songs are going, I'm at peace in my heart. Those voices seems to echoe into my head and their words seems so foreign yet when they get to me they seem true".
"You love the cathedral that much?"
"There's peace here for me and somehow I'm convinced that everything would turn out just fine, it will all be well".
"Sounds like an hymn they sing here".
"Yeah it's my favorite.... Through the love of God our savior all will be well".
"Hmmm.... But is he your saviour".
"Father Francis once said... The saviour isn't picky about who he saves all he seeks is one who loves him above all".
"So you love him above all".
"Yeah.... By the love of God my saviour all must be well. It's an assurance not a probability".
"Drive faster please, uncle Williams. I'm quite hungry, I haven't prepared anything for school tomorrow and I want to talk to Arianna and Aurora on phone tonight".
"Okay, young master".
"I told you to stop calling him that... You can call him son and you can call him boy, why young master?"
"Okay madame".
