"Girls, come down let's have breakfast". Mrs Salvatore shouted from below the stairs. "Rora, wake up aunt's calling". Arianna said jolting Aurora who had spent the night on the bed, she looked half asleep herself. "Why now, it's still so early". "I'll get my phone, get up let's wash our face, we shouldn't keep aunt waiting for too long". " I told you to let's go to bed early but you decided to stay up, let's go you can come back up for a nap after breakfast". " Arrgh". Aurora groaned and threw away the blanket covering her. " I swear I could give anything to go back to sleep right now, I had a hard time falling asleep". Aurora murmured finger combing her hair at first then scattering them all over. "Everybody else sleeps well while reading a book, but you have problem falling asleep, do you think we should try checking you up upstairs". "It's common sense that my brain is hyper after reading a crime book, my brain is at alert trying to find out clues from the book? Figure out who did what? Of course I'm awake". Aurora walked into the bathroom with Arianna trailing behind her and they brush thier teeth and wash their face, so in sync one would think they did it together everyday. "Aurora.....". Arianna called and hesitated for a bit. "I don't know what you want to say but if it fills you with so much apprehension save it till after breakfast, else we won't make it down in time". "I'm not apprehensive". "Well you've been stealing glances at me and trying to study my mood to know if you should drop whatever the bombshell is, and now you managed to call my name but your voice still trailer off hesitantly". Aurora said and stared long and deep into her friends eyes, there was obviously fear and traces of defiance. "Let's head down". Arianna said when she finally found her voice. The two girls make their way downstairs only to meet Mrs Salvatore ok the stairs, she must have gotten fed up of waiting and decided to fetch the two by herself. "You know I was just thinking if we really slept in the same house, took you guys so long". "Well we were washing up, we couldn't possibly come downstairs with drool on our face". "Well I had no idea you now drool when you sleep". Mrs Salvatore replied, raising her brows and studying the two girls did they possibly argue. "What's with the look, drooling is perfectly normal..... Keeping your kids in the stairway when they should be eating breakfast is what isn't in the slightest bit. "Alright let's head to the table". They all head down to the table and take their sit with Mrs Salvatore taking the seat at the head of the table Aurora and Arianna sit at opposite sides of the table. "Brandon went out last night". Aurora dropped as soon as they were sitted and eating, Mrs Salvatore had prepared toasted bread with bacon and eggs . "Errhhh.... Yea, he did ". Mrs Salvatore answered after a while of wondering if it was a question or a statement and settling to answer. "Did he say where he was headed, it was quite late you know and after such a long day, I didn't know he still had the strength to head out". "You know he's your brother and you can always question him whenever he comes back home ". "I'll consider that rhetorical". "Arianna, Brandon mentioned going over to your place to pick up your school necessities yesterday, so I want to assume he'll be at your place before returning today...... Anything you might need him to pick up?" "The butler knows everything I'll possibly need so I don't think there is anything else to add.... Thank you aunt". "No problem sweetheart.... So you guys start school Monday, I hope you're properly prepared, Aurora?" "I thought you were asking the two of us, why did your focus because Aurora". "Because I know better who is not serious about school matters, Arianna properly got prepared like two weeks ago, but you ..... I bet it was Arianna who informed you of the resumption date ". "You shouldn't fault me for not being too enthusiastic to go through subtle discriminations on my identity". "Aurora are you still on this?" Arianna finally spoke up. "Ok what? What sore discrimination?" "Well Aurora is pissed the others at school are always acting like we're some wild animal who is going to break out of a cage one day and eat them up ". "I really like that analogy, but somehow it seems I'm the only one who finds it uncomfortable to be regarded as a wild animal". Aurora said smacking her lips tauntingly at the two. "Aurora, you cannot possibly blame them, they're weaker than we are and they know quite little about our existence, so many of them wish it could be untrue most of the times..... It's just like you wouldn't like a lion cause if it broke out of its cage it'll eat you up without even being able to fight. I'm sorry you guys have to go through this, it's an existing order no way to break it, plus I bet if they knew or had even the slightest idea they wouldn't talk anyhow in your presence". "Mom do you even have any idea what it's like, I'm eating my meal and a girl walks by saying how ugly a vampire looks like while feeding on human, did she see my face? A girl without even an iota of sense posts how creatures like me shouldn't exist and if at all they did the government should work really hard to destroy them, and she still tags me ".
