"Actually no matter who turns out to be your bride they'd face quite some attack but I guess it would be worthwhile to them since they'll be having Damon Salvatore's love ". "Yeah, thought I'd help mom a bit so she could get to rest earlier, it's her day tomorrow Afterall". "Dad isn't around anymore I guess, I'll arrange with mom so someone else can take over the kitchen tomorrow". "Great! Thanks". Selina smiles softly and walked away. Her world was slightly crashing. She knew from the onset that Damon wasn't in love with her but she had always hoped that he didn't meet anyone else, as long as he wasn't in love with anyone else she still had a chance but now it all looked bleak. "Hey, why are you all dazed out?" "Penny just asked me to drop by at her house, I'll spend the night there and be back very early". Selina lied, she just wanted to be out of the roof. "Okay... Don't come too early". "I'm going to crash at a friend's place, I'll be back very early tomorrow morning, please ask Aurora and Arianna to help prepare the surprise". Selina sent to Damon as a text just as she stepped out of the house into the compound. "What a waste of years of emotions". Selina breathed dragging her feet outside the gate while keeping her tears at bay, oblivious to Damon who stood at the window and watched her as she away. Out into the street she had barely walked any miles at all when it started to drizzle and gradually the little drops became a heavy pour. "Damn unlucky Selina, you can't even walk the streets in peace". Selina muttered to herself but still grateful to the rain cause she could now cry in peace. "Selina didn't take an umbrella and it's such a long walk down to penny's". Aunt Betty lamented as Damon walked into the kitchen. "Well she'll buy one". Damon whispered before picking a bottle of water from the fridge. "I hope she does". Damon heard aunt Betty mutter as he walked out of the kitchen. Hesitating slightly in the living room while staring at the, he shakes his head and gives up the idea before ascending the stairs. "What happened between you and Selina while we were gone, I told you not to be harsh to her didn't I?" "If only you two nosy little girls had minded your business". "That isn't the answer to my question". Aurora responded defiantly. "I have no answer to your question". Damon replied and made to walk away again. "If anything happens to her I'll hold you responsible, Selina is a really good girl. I hope you're not like this because of some hopeless love? If it's not going to be Selina then I hope you have someone decent". "Out of my way, Salvatore". Damon responded and slightly pushing her, finally gained access into his room. Two long strides got him standing beside his bed and once again looking out the window, diverting his gaze, his eyes catch a girly looking wallet. "Tell me this isn't what I think it is?" Damon swore under his breath, Selina had dropped her wallet. Toppling down the stairs in a hurry and only stopping slightly to grab two umbrellas. Damon rushed our of the house dialing her line. "Where did Damon go in a hurry?" Mrs Salvatore asked coming out of the room. "I have no idea ma'am". Aunt Betty replied. "Here let's play chess". Mrs Salvatore said plopping herself down on the chair. "It's been so long". Aunt Betty answered before grabbing the slightly dusty chessboard, there was a time they sat in the living room almost everyday after Mr Salvatore left for work and the kids were in school.
