"Brandon you wouldn't dare do or let anything harm my child, okay?" "Let's go in mademoiselle I'm done here". "Promise?" "Do I need you to be reminded that I'm also going there and if your son is in danger then I might also be". Brandon said raising his brows, he understood that she wanted a reassurance but the reassurance wasn't going to be enough. "Fine then, I'll wait patiently". Mrs Salvatore replied and turned to leave, she got the message and she knew better than to argue further. "So, how did your day go, I got you everything you requested for". "I almost forgot and was on my way to the kitchen". They got to the door and Brandon held it open for her to enter, he had already made the promise mentally so he would surely make sure Damon was fine not like anything could ever go wrong with him, not with Caeser watching over the boy. "What about the girls". "I am sure they do not need anything anymore so you can as well proceed to your room also and get some rest ". "Yeah sure". " Would dad be returning anytime soon ". "Maybe in a week's time or more". "He said he was going to be gone that long?" "Nope he said, he was taking phil away for over a week so i just knew he was going to be gone for that long ". "That's great, the kids would also be resuming school so consider it a vacation of sort and take a whole lot of rest". "That is to say, you and Damon would also be taking over a week to return home". "Damon might return sooner but definitely not me, I want to go over to the palace and make sure all things are proper ". "You were at the palace last week". "I know". Brandon said giving his mom a wary look, she wouldn't dare try to put the girl in trouble by telling her. "Have a good rest son". Mrs Salvatore said and picked up the take out Brandon had dropped on the table and left for her room. Brandon stands and watches her receding back he knew she wasn't too fine, something beyond he and Damon returning safe was weighing on her heart, but she wouldn't say so he didn't want to pressure her either. Brandon looks all around the house wondering if anything could just give him a clue, his eyes is drawn to the picture on the wall that was slightly tilted, the glass frame was broken, there must have been quite an outburst before they returned, and one that he wasn't interested in finding out. "Aurora". Brandon called and made his way up to her room. "Aurora". He called again when he got to the door and knocked. "My take out?" Aurora said as soon as she opened the door. Arianna had entered into the room a while ago but she had no interest in confronting her yet so she played dead to all her questions and call. The girl had given up soon after probably thought she was asleep. " That's all you have to say, your take out, what was with the outburst earlier". "Nothing". Aurora said and came out shutting the door behind her and signalled Brandon to follow her. "Arianna wasn't asleep earlier while we were in the car, she just played sleep". Aurora blurted out immediately they were in Brandon's room. "Oh......". Now he knew why Aurora was pissed, why would Arianna though, it wasn't like they were hiding things from her or something. "Any idea why she would have done that ". Brandon was quiet he was sure Aurora already had all the answr she probably needed but since she loved being fair so much was asking for a confirmation from him, but he wanted to hear her thoughts so he could really know what was going on. "So you are angry cause Arianna played sleep to listen to us talk and see if we were going to dish her dirts behind her". "Yeah". "The question however is that does Arianna have a dirt that we could have dished?" "Obviously she does, if she doesn't she wouldn't have done that". "Does this have anything to do with, her caring especially for Paul?" Brandon asked again gauging Aurora's expression, cause this time cause the question might not get a vocal answer. "Well". "You shouldn't confront her just yet, you'll be very mad if she lies to you even in the least bit, just a little bit of attitude, a little bit of hint until you can forget it". "Could I ever forget it? I have never kept anything from Arianna, at least not on purpose or with unclean intents". Aurora added when Brandon raised a brow at her. She indeed never keeps things from ari unless she feels they'll hurt her. It indeed is as they say, the heart is a custodian of all secrets that could make or break a person person, what manner of things were hidden in Arianna's heart, and how long have they been hiding in there so cleverly that nobody noticed, how long have they been eating away her dear friend.
