Chapter 92

Paul couldn't stop thinking about the ways to save his dad as he contacted Arianna and some other friends. Paul's only thought was on ways to prove his father's innocence on his accusation of killing which he knows that he will never engage in. "I must save my dad, "Paul thought to herself as he contacted Aurora Salvatore and lan, all of them gathered together at Arianna's house which was very suspicious and with full hope of finding the evidence. "Hmm what other strategy can we use to save Paul's dad? What evidence are we looking for and where the evidence might be ?" Lam asked in confusion, focusing on Paul and Arianna. "We should continue searching the underground," Arianna suggested. "Yes we should" Aurora Salvatore responded, four of them picked a lamp lantern and went to the underground house. Aurora, Arianna and Paul went down the stairs to look for evidence that the anonymous caller said they could find at the underground house. On their way down the stairs they felt cold and the place felt damp and haunted. " Why does it feel so scary in here?," Aurora asked. The place doesn't feel like it usually was before, I mean we come here all the time and it doesn't feel like this. Paul chirped in. "Do you think their ghosts are here?." Paul said to no one exactly. They got to the stairs landing and began looking around for any clues or anything that could be taken as evidence, though Aurora was still sceptical about the whole thing because the accused was the Father of her friend and the victim were the parents of her friend, but she has to be here. "Do you think we should split up and look around"?. Arianna said for the first time since they got here. Paul, who was scared of the place, quickly objected and said they should search together for whatever evidence they needed to find. "Why don't we just continue looking for this together"?, said Aurora because she was also scared. So they started going through the columns of books on the shelves, opening books, drawers and everything else they could get their hands on. Ahhh, a piercing scream ripped through their ears and everyone turned their attention to the direction of the scream only for them to see Paul clutching to the shelves for life. "What happened"? Arianna asked. "Something hopped on my back and was crawling all over me". Paul said, still frightened. Aurora moved closer to Paul and saw what caused the commotion and it was nothing but a measly cockroach and the girls just rolled their eyes at his stupid friends. Everyone moved back to their positions to continue looking for what they were looking for. In one of the drawers they found a couple of old pictures. " Guys you need to see this", Aurora called out.
