Last halloween I did a vampire costume let my fangs out freely, and pranked Hailey like I was going to drink blood from her...... You should have seen her expression, she turned pale and stiffened immediately I had to uncover my face and tell her it was me". Aurora said with a momentary hurt flashing across her eyes. Hailey was the only girl she ever hung out with in school asides Paul and Ari, that incident had traumatized Aurora more than it did Hailey. "Aurora you said those were fake fangs that day...." Arianna shouted and shot up thank goodness the Salvatore's house was a really big mansion no one could hear anything outside. "Is that the point...? The point is the stigmatization if these people ever knew who we are, I can already see them holding forks and torches to come have us burned to death ". Aurora said and stood up pushing her chair back into it's original space and picking up the plate to drop in the kitchen. "Are you sure you don't want to eat more?" "..... And listen to you more, no I'm fine, I'll pass.... Ari is a good listener though". Aurora said and winked at Ari before leaving for the kitchen. "You both have issues right?" "No aunt what issue could i possibly have with Aurora, we're used to condoning her excesses". "Condoning her excesses? You see pain flashed through Aurora's eyes when she was speaking about Hailey earlier, but I bet this is the first time you're hearing about it , I wonder how hurt she must have been for the pain to last till now, truth is Aurora is fond of settling things inwardly One time when she was younger, Damon took her toy and gave it out to his girlfriend because the girl liked the toy but it was limited, we never knew anything happened or that Damon had taken her toy without her permission. She was very fine during the day and was as cheerful as always but one night Brandon caught her on the balcony talking to the toy and saying how much she missed it, after much proding she admitted it was her favourite teddy and Damon only told her after he had given it out. "That was the first time I saw her cry since she could walk, Damon went to the girl and explained things and brought the teddy back and she cried when she saw it, she was so happy and she kept crying and saying I missed you elon, apparently it even had a name. I asked why she didn't mention anything about it, and her reply was I would have felt better after a while, I'm used to handling things that way, saying it out gets a lot of people involved and apologetic, I'd rather be the only one hurt, I heal faster. She was barely ten, I cried so much when I returned to my room, begged her to always tell me at least and promised I won't be hurt but after that day I could only recognize on rare occasions like this that she was fighting something, I wonder how she grew that first, don't always be quick to decide you're condoning Aurora's excesses, so many times it's actually the other way round". Mrs Salvatore finished and changed the discussion immediately she sighted Aurora approaching the table. "We were just trying to wash your dirty underwears, so you're not bothered with it later". Arianna returned and rose up. "What you want to go hang the underwear?" "I want to go drop my plate and aunty's we're done eating, let's go up when I'm back I think I need that nap as well". "I'd go with or without you, however get yourself and mom a drink from the kitchen, I wouldn't share mine and you're not allowed to open up my mini fridge upstairs". "Like you have anything good in it ". Arianna replied her with a sneer and escaped to the kitchen immediately. "So you and Ari are having beefs uhn?" Mrs Salvatore dropped as soon as Ari was out of sight. "What beef, your daughter is incapable of that, you know".
