Chapter 121
Thorne was standing right in front of me, then he approached me and then was about to kiss me but then I jumped up from the bed.
It was a nightmare that I didn't want to have again. Laura had put me to sleep after I had told her about Thorne. It was early afternoon and I didn't know what exactly to do with the information about him.
I had lots of questions in my mind.
'Why was he back? What happened to him? Was he sent by Mascot and Lucas?
I knew that the only way to get answers to my questions was to actually talk to Thorne and hear from him but I was too upset to do that. I had trusted him so much and he left me without a word. I left my room to go see how Damien and the warriors were working.
'Guess what?" Laura was running towards me all excited.
'What is it?"
'Have you seen Alpha-king Magnus since we came back?"
'Not yet. Any problems?"
'Not really. Come on." Laura literally dragged me down the same route with her. We kept running and running till we got downhill to the house she had described as that of Alpha-king Magnus.
'There better be a good reason why you're dragging me. You better have a good reason." I was still saying when we entered the room and I saw the girls sitted, waiting patiently.
'Your sisters are here."
There on the big coach was sorted Anita, Kaira and Cleo waiting for me. What exactly had happened when I left?
'Naomi." They all screamed at me as they all hugged the air out of my lungs.
'What are you all doing here?" I turned to them one by one to see for myself how my girls had grown so big. I could remember all those times in the Palace when we used to do everything together.
'We came to support you in this. We heard that Lucas had found out about you and was fighting you. How dare him try to attack you?" Cleo asked. She had always been my protector even then at the Palace. I loved talking and discussing with her and she would give me good advice all the time no matter what.
Anita, was my gist mate. I would go to her whenever I wanted to relieve stress. Kaira would protect me but from a distance since she isn't even that strong to fight. She was the youngest and could literally do nothing in times of trouble.
'We are here to fight him." Kaira answered, making me smile. She was talking like she had everything in control but that was very unlike her.
I was really happy and grateful that they taught it wise to visit, it was truly a great honor to have them here by my side. Afterwards, we ate some good food prepared by Luna Racheal, their mother who also came with them.
'It's a pity that the warriors of Ice crest are for Lucas and not for us." Luna Rachel said over lunch.
'He has turned their mind against us but u know I can still get some of them on my side too."
'If you can do that, then do that fast." Luna pleaded with the Alpha.
Anita insisted that she wanted to go with me and I agreed to it because I knew I would need company at the Warriors clan. They were training heavily with the help of Damein. I was glad that he was doing all he could and the fact that most of the Alpha's that I had pleaded with kept to their words.
They all brought theri warriors to fight with us. The training was intense and we trained hard enough to win this battle.
'We need to be ready before Lucas comes here. We need to ambush him before he reaches the clan's gate. We need warriors to stay outside the Territory and some that would protect the Royal House." Damien explained to us his plans. He was not working alongside Thorne who had pleaded so much that we forgive him.
He had been trying to prove himself to me and everyone else but I still couldn't trust him, not with what he had done in the past.
We were seated at dinner as Damien talked to us about his plans, I couldn't help but glance at Thorne multiple times. Then he caught my gaze one time and I knew he was also staring back at me too.
It was very awkward with him around but I didn't mind. I had a duty and responsibility to my people and I was going to keep my promise to them.
'Lucas will attack tomorrow too." Thorne suddenly announced at the meeting.
'Tomorrow?" Everyone muttered.
'Yes. I know this because I have been with Jim long enough. I know how he had been talking about attacking Shadowcrest on a moon day and Tomorrow is a moon day."
'How can we trust you?" I asked and everyone nodded at me. It was true that Thorne had not just disappointed me but the whole clan so everyone was concerned just like I was.
'You really need to trust me." Thorne replied and for a moment, it seemed like we were the only one in the room.
'We'll take our chances. Everyone should go back to work. If he says Lucas will attack, then we should not let down our guard, not now." Luna Isabella said and everyone opened.
The warriors ram to their places, the women and children were shown to their place. They were going to be protected since they weren't going to fight.
'Emily, go in too."
'No, I'm going to fight." Emily stood still even when her brother was ordering her to go in with the women too. 'I can't keep hiding, you know I can help so let me help please."
'Since Mum and Dad died, you've been my only one so please go back in, I wouldn't want anything to happen to you." Damien said but Emily literally refused to go into the room for women. After so much effort in pleading with him, Damien decided to let Emily join the army since she was strong enough and could handle it.
Later that night, I had to give my speech.
'My dear people, I don't want you to be afraid. I believe that with all the measures put in place we can be able to fight and win this war, so I pledge for your support and I believe you'll do that for me. Tomorrow we win and Tomorrow we feast." The sound of their happiness and joy couldn't stop ringing in my ear as they all went to sleep.
