Chapter 111
When we got back to the Palace with Damien, the Luna asked that we stay for a day at least so they could treat us because of what we did for them.
I was really happy that we came here even after hearing the bad things about this park and they are currently proving what people say wrong.
'Please stay and enjoy our hospitality. We promise you won't regret it.
I looked at Laura and nodded to her. It was important that we left that particular day but it was still very early in the morning and we were tired and I had plans to still speak to the Alpha so I nodded to them that we could stay for the meantime.
They all accepted and we were taken to separate rooms. I was shocked when we were all given different rooms but It was very comfortable. My room was very beautiful and girly. I really doubted that anyone had ever been to this room judging from how arranged everything looked.
I settled down. This was the perfect time to take a proper bath and wash my clothes too. When I still stayed in the Palace, I would have never imagined that I would anyway, go to sleep without having my bath or even a chance of clothes but currently, I have spent 3 days on the road on the road to Blackwood Park and haven't even tried to have a bath.
I wasn't smelling but I knew I needed the hot bath. It was soothing to my soul. I went into the bath and just stayed there. It's been a long time since I had that feeling of being at peace with everything. I sat there and went through the activity that happened.
The truth was that I was not shocked anymore when I heard the plans of Lucas to kill me or make me suffer. I had gotten to know that he didn't just want me dead but he wanted something from him that concerned Shadowcrest and whenever he got that was the same day he would kill me.
I was no longer disturbed or worried about him. I felt this peace in me. All I knew was that I would do my very best and get my people the salvation they needed. It was a fight I would never give up on. Lucas could do whatever he wanted but he was never going to get me to give up.
When I started this quest, I was scared and confused but as I continued, especially with the help of my friends, I could now see the possibility of bringing clans together. This quest was no more all about fighting against Lucas' army but about bringing different parks together in peace and harmony.
I went down from the bath, water dripping from my hair, then tied a towel round my waist to eat some food that was already served on the table for me. These days, all I could think about was getting to the end of this quest and finally having peace. I also wanted to speak to the Alpha about finding Laura's parents but that would be very early in the morning.
I needed to seek his help in finding her parents because Laura herself was confused about their destination and every other thing we needed to find them. Where they currently live, where they go for work, all these details were important for us to know.
I went to sleep later after eating some food because I was already satisfied since we ate with the Alpha and the Luna.
The next morning, it was the early sun sneaking into my room through the window that woke me up. I put on my clothes immediately and left for the throne room. I wanted, if possible, to be the first person to meet with the Alpha. I had to wait because the Alpha wasn't yet up but soon he came and was shocked to meet me waiting for him.
'Is there a problem? I hope you didn't wait for long?"
'No. I didn't." I answered, following him into the Alpha room since it was locked and I had to wait outside with the guards.
'You should have asked 5he guards to wake me up. I will come to attend to you immediately."
'No. It's fine. You're here now so I'm good." I answered, taking a seat and without wasting so much time, I went down to business. 'I need your help." I simply said.
'What do you need?" He asked.
'Remember yesterday, you were asking us to mention what we wanted to be done for us as a reward for helping heal your mother."
'Yes, I remember asking that and the offer is still very much open."
'Alright, I need a favor but it's for my friend, Laura."
'The one who was with you yesterday?"
'Yes." I nodded. 'She's trying to find her parents and we need your help for that."
'Okay." The Alpha thought for some minutes and then nodded. 'What do you want to find out? What I mean is they are missing or you need some information about them."
'The truth is that my friend lost touch with her parents for a very long time so she wants to reconnect with them but we have some challenges."
'Go on. I'm listening."
I watched the Alpha pay real attention to what I was saying. He nodded when he agreed and asked necessary questions.
'So she hasn't seen them for a long time?" He asked, highly interested.
'No. She hasn't."
'..and there's no important information about them?"
'Yes, I know this is pretty hard for you but I decided to come to you for help believing you will help me if possible."
'It would obviously be a difficult situation because we don't have any prior information about them but it can still be done. The problem is that I don't think she'll like my solution." He said, sadly.
'What do you mean? Any solution is fine, as long as it can solve the problem."
'There's a wizard I know who can tell us what we should know about her parents. So from there, we could find them very easily."
'A wizard? How good is he?"
'Very good, actually." The Alpha responded with a smile. 'The only case he couldn't crack was that of my mother and I see the reason now, the moon goddess wanted you to be the one who would heal my mother for a reason."
I didn't understand what he was saying but I still thanked him and left after agreeing that we were leaving to see him in the afternoon.
