Chapter 102
The advice I gave them was one I should also give myself. I was scared too but I had learnt never to give up on a fight that I haven't even fought so I was going through with this whether it worked for me or not.
We got on the horse and off we went. We rode for a few hours and I didn't even know what I was feeling. Fear or happiness?"
I rode with Damien since he promised to be careful and be slower. When I looked at Laura, I could see that she was not willing to be careful with this ride in any way.
The ride was not always smooth and we had to get down like 2 times to feed and give the horses water. Laura is two times when we stopped and she saw nothing totally wrong with that. I remember telling her how fat she would be if she didn't stop eating so much food. She only laughed at me and told me that it was impossible for her to grow fat.
When I was growing up as princess we were never allowed to do dangerous things including riding a horse. At that time, Alpha-king Magnus shouted at us for playing in the rain. It was really horrible at that time because I always got sick so quickly and easily.
As we rode quickly and went very fast, I wondered what was so fun about riding a horse. I have had someone tell me that it was amazing but I was feeling better than a few hours ago. My heart raced as we kept on moving, for hours and hours nonstop.
I couldn't believe when we finally got to Blackwood Park, we stopped at an entrance to the Park.
'I think we should leave our horses here." Laura suggested and I knew exactly what she meant.
'I don't think it's safe here." Damien replied. .
'What do you think? Don't you think that if we take it with us inside, they would take it from us." Laura said and I tried to reason with her. With the stories we've heard about Blackwood Park, I'm sure we shouldn't leave anything to them.
'I prefer we take the risk of leaving them tied to a tree just a few distance away then making them come with us." I said. 'We do not know who these people are and we don't understand what they want."
After a few minutes, Damien listened to us and we tied the horses to a tree and started off with our feets.
'Oh God." I have gotten so used to riding a horse rather than trekking." Laura said and we laughed. She could be a clown if she wanted to.
We walked slowly trying to be observant and not walk into a trap. According to the stories, I have heard the land was filled with the spirit of the people it killed a longtime ago. As we walked along the path, I felt an eye looking over me.
I heard that humans were also afraid of this clan because of how deadly they were. They had once fought with a group of humans and defeated them and by that got the nickname, the terror.
I could tell how terrified being in this land was making all of us but we needed to go ahead with our plans. I wondered how the people of this clan breathe knowing that they cause horror and fear to people even at the mention of their names. The only words to describe them were brutal and ruthless.
As we walked further, I was expecting to be stopped by a group of warriors who might have been protecting the land but we met no one. Then we came slowly to the chambers of the inhabitants.
There were men female and children too. As we walked past the people who stood and stared at the strangers on their land, my eyes caught a beautiful girl who was standing with her mother. She was hiding behind her mother while still staring at us. I smiled deep down because this reminded me so much of myself.
My mother was my shield and help. Now it was my turn to be the same for her and I honestly hope that little girl would experience it. Suddenly, the thought that she would eventually turn evil since her clan was evil too, hit me. I couldn't imagine an innocent looking girl turning evil just because of her environment. I felt pity for her as I turned to stare one more time at her.
We proceeded, getting to the town square but there were still no warriors to stop us and question us.
'Why do I feel like this is a plot?" Damien asked.
'Maybe they're not that bad…" I was saying when suddenly different werewolves jumped out from bushes on different sides with red painted faces.
'It's an ambush." I screamed and turned around.l to see hefty men surrounding us. For a while, they didn't say anything but just stood there humming.
It was funny that moments ago, I had thought that they had changed or something.
'Why are you here?" One of the men spoke to us. I couldn't even recognize who it was speaking but I knew it was one of them that had ambushed us.
'Can we see the Alpha?"
'You are here on a quest in need of support to build your army right?" He responded sounding so confident that I began to doubt myself.
There was only one way they could have found out what we were here for and that is where Lucas comes in. This whole charade meant that they had chosen their stand and we weren't the option they chose.
I spoke up knowing that Damien and Laura would still be in the shock of everything happening so I took the lead.
'Can we see your Alpha first?" I asked again hoping they would oblige me even with the little voice I had managed to muster to speak to them.
'He was the one who ordered that you all get arrested and burned to ashes." The leader of that park still spoke up. His dark menacing voice echoing through my veins.
Burn to ashes? Was this the end for us?
'It was a mistake for you to come here. It was a very big mistake. You will pay with your life!" His voice was like a cold wind that sent shivers into my heart.
I trembled in fear when it seemed his voice was coming from all directions to attack me.
