Chapter 105
'What are you guys doing here?" A more leaner man than the first one we met earlier asked us, shocked that we had come out of the cell.
'We have a deal for you." I said, boldly even when they charged against us with their weapons. .
'What stupid deal? You need to go back to your cell or you'll regret ever coming out." He screamed at us but we stood still and it shocked him.
'What's this?"
'We need to see the Alpha." I said again, exactly the way I had told them before they pushed us into another cell.
'No." He refused us and then suddenly he told his warriors to push us back to the cell.
'I can heal the Alpha's mother." I simply said and watched them wonder at what I had said.
'What do you mean?" The kean warrior asked me. 'Do you think this is a joke and how did you get the information about that." He asked but when he looked properly and saw the strange man with us, he understood. 'I see where you get your information."
'We want to help." Laura said, almost pleading with him.
'How can you help a dying woman, how is that even possible?" The lean warrior stared at us. He was getting fed up with the back and forth. 'What exactly do you want?" The lean warrior asked us. 'Getting access to the Alpha means that your head will be presented to Jim on a tray before tomorrow.
'It's not a lie. We just want to help him."
We watched the lean warrior think about what we said. Honestly, his life was also in danger if it happened that we were lying to him.
'I'll help you just because this would help the Alpha's mother." He responded, signaling his men to put down their guns. 'I'll take you to him immediately."
He said and led the way. It was exactly the way we had come in but looked much broader now. They took us down a path that looked treacherous and hideous that I wasn't sure if we were actually going to the Palace.
I saw Laura stare at me when I saw the doubt in her eyes. She felt the same way I felt, doubtful about the path they were leading us to. I signaled to her with my eyes but there was nothing much we could do.
There were warriors in front of us and some behind us. It was really a big deal.
'Are we actually going to the Palace?" I asked, outloud. I didn't think they would have told me the truth even if they were going to kill us but I had to ask or I would die of silence.
'Don't you want to go to see the Alpha?" The lean warrior asked, stopping.
'This is the path that leads to the Palace." The strange man with us confirmed and I signaled to the lean warrior to keep going.
As we kept walking, the path became covered with overgrown grasses as it narrowed and even darkened the more. I tried to calm my mind as we kept on going. After what seemed like eternity, we walked through a sloppy path, and we met a beautiful standing Palace which would have been described as Castle in a movie.
'Wow. This is beautiful." Laura whispered to me not wanting the warriors to hear that she was praising their Palace. Laura was right, the Palace looked very beautiful, a true majestic beauty. It was night but I could still notice how beautiful the flowers and garden made it look.
As we went into the Palace, it was decorated with beautiful diamonds and stones that made it worth what it was. Blackwood might be a bad park but their Palace was worth dying for.
'Wait here. I'll infirm the Alpha's spokesman to tell the Alpha that you are here ' The lean Alpha said and left us in 5he care of the other warriors whom he instructed that they should watch us.
'Don't you think we should go in on our own?" Damien whispered to us.
'We better wait here according to instructions. If you disobey, you risk your life." Another lean warrior warmed us and we listened. The night had already turned back, we would gain nothing if we caused havoc more.
Shortly, the lean warrior came to tell us that we were allowed to go into the presence of the Alpha. We walked behind him, slowly and expecting.
The throne room looked like every other throne room we've encountered, only that it was more beautiful and designed to taste. The Alpha sat on his seat with a sad frown.
'Who dares disturb my peace?" He asked immediately as we stepped foot into his abode. He already looked upset and we knew not to make him angry with our words so I went straight to the point.
'Hello, Alpha. My name is Naomi and this is my friend's.."
'Spare me that trash and go straight to the point right now." The Alpha thundered at me. My heart literally flew out of my chest but I had to forget the introductions and go straight to the point.
'We are here to help. I can help your mother feel better.." I was still speaking when he burst into laughter. He didn't stop as he continued even louder.
'When the warriors had told me that you wanted to heal my mother, I thought they were crazy and wanted to see this woman who wanted to heal an incurable disease so I asked them to let you in and here, you are, how old are you?" He asked but didn't wait for an answer. 'You're obviously playing with me."
'I am not."
'Do you know the kind of sickness suffered by my mother, do you know how far and far I have taken her but still no treatment for her sickness and to make the matter worse, she'll die tomorrow and you stand here to tell me that you'll heal her? Are you a wizard by any means?" He asked.
'No, I'm not but.."
I'll advise you to leave." He said hissed, standing up from his throne, he ordered his warriors to take us out of the Palace. 'I don't ever want to see their faces here again. If I do, I'll kill all of you."
The warriors approached us to bundle us back to the cell but I wouldn't let them.
'No." I screamed and tried to fight but it was fruitless.
'Why don't you give us a try, huh?" I looked up and it was Damien speaking. They had pushed him down and was about to tie his mouth. 'You've tried lots of solutions but none worked, why don't you give us a try and if you're mother doesn't get healed before sun rise, you can have our heads on a tray."
