As the celebration continued, I went over to thank Alpha-king Magnus for his help in helping us gather the warriors even though they didn't do as well as expected. Alpha Logan visited us and celebrated with us. 'When we told Lucas that you didn't come into our pack, he didn't believe me and asked that I tell the truth or he'll burn my clan down. I told him everything even though he didn't let me say anything more. He only ran away,promising to deal with me." 'I'm grateful for sacrificing the happiness of your clans just because of me." 'I'm happy to help remember you helped me too." When Laura's parents later arrived during the day, it was another beautiful encounter with them. They were so glad that we were able to stop Lucas especially when they had tried to do that for such a long time. The whole community was still celebrating when Emily came to have a word with me. 'You really outdid yourself. Thank you for bringing peace back to this Park." She was truly grateful to me and promised that she would help the Park and become a full time warrior and I was happy she was making that decision. Later during the day, my mother came to speak to me about Lucas. 'What do you think we should do with him?" 'I think we should have his head on a tray by tomorrow morning." I said, determined to follow my mother. 'What?" My mother was literally shocked when I said those words to her but then u burst out laughing. 'You should see your face." I paused, gave it a thought and then replied. 'I honestly don't know what I should do about him but one thing I know is that everything has been taken away from him and he'll get his repercussions, so there isn't much he will do even if we let him go." 'I don't think we should free a man who I'm the past years killed so many people." Diane joined us. 'Me too. Lucas is a very smart man and if he gets away from being tied up today, I can assure you that by tomorrow, he would have built an army that would stand strong for him. It's very hard to know this from him but I know he is very capable of doing it." 'So let's keep him here for a while and probably send him to a distant land to a ruthless Alpha where he would serve and learn. That would make him humble and human." I suggested because that was the only thing I could think of, there was no way I was going to kill Lucas, not at all. The Celebration continued but I had gone to a more quiet place to clear my head and think about how that happened in the past few months. I never heard of Mascot again and I wondered where he was. I had wanted to speak to Laura about him but I thought it would rekindle old memories that were already gone so I didn't. 'What do you think?" I turned sharply to see the person who was speaking behind me even though I already recognised his voice and would recognise his voice anytime. It was Thorne, dressed inna quite different and charming way. As I looked him up and down,I realized that I still wasn't over this young man and it made me wonder why. It's been months since I have set my eyes on him so I wondered why my heart still fluttered whenever I set my eyes. 'You seem lost there." He said and I finally realized that he was very close to me now that I could perceive his aura properly. 'What are you doing here?" I asked him, looking away. 'I came to speak to you." He said turning fully to face me but I still turned my face away from him. 'I understand that you're still hurt and would probably never forgive me but I need to forgive me." Why is he pleading enough? Why isn't he talking about us? Was it only my forgiveness he wanted about us? Or was there never an 'us"? These questions kept ringing in my head. 'I'm going to be honest with you, Naomi. Those days I spent with you made me realize that I was falling in love with you. I tried to stop the feelings because I knew you would never fall for me, especially when you were busy with your quest." I turned sharply at him and I couldn't see his face bowed. 'Was that why you left?" 'Yes. I didn't really plan to leave but I couldn't face you anymore. You were in my face, my sleep, in my dream, you were everywhere." Thorne hissed. 'I have never experienced anything like that so I didn't handle it the right way. I'm sorry." He was apologizing but I didn't want him to apologize because I felt the same way. I did love him but didn't know how to approach it, I expected him to go with the flow but he didn't. Thorne's confession changed everything for me. 'Do you still feel the same way?" 'I do but this time, I can't run anymore. I want to face it and if possible.." 'I feel the same way too." I blurted out. 'I mean.. I felt the same way and still do. I just expected you to go with the flow and not run away from it." I said, our eyes meeting then for a moment, it seemed like the whole world had stopped. 'I love you, Naomi and everything about you." Thorne said with all seriousness in his face. He stared intently at me and then brought me into his open arms. 'I love you, Thorne no matter how stupid you act." I said and we laughed. As we remained in each other's arms enjoying the view of the forest, I was thankful for everything and everyone I had met in this quest of mine. Laura was the best of them all. She was a friend like no other and she would forever remain precious to me. Thorne and I eventually got married and he became the Alpha of Shadowcrest and I, his queen by his side. Together we made Shadowcrest the best Park ever with the help of our supporters and friends. My sister's all got married to their dream man and Cleo found out about her husband and let him go, finally. It was the beginning of new things for all of us as even my mother's anxiety stopped. This was the end but also the beginning of beautiful things.
