CHAPTER FIFTEEN

I talked to my aunt all day getting to know more about the supernatural world. It was amazing, we could see clearer now. We had speed, agility, stamina and we were immortal. It was amazing! She told me how they would turn during the full moon and run around in their wolf form in the forest, now I could understand why they had woods at the back of each building. We were never to reveal our true forms to the humans who were very much afraid of us and would do something terrible stemmed from their fear. She told me something about mates too, apparently the moon goddess who created us gave us the one person who would complete us and share the rest of our lives too. It was sweet and kind of scary at the same time. I thought of Rohan and wondered if he was my mate, if he was a werewolf it meant he felt the bond or something and he still didn't do anything about it. If he was my mate, are we going to be together now? How do I control myself from not saying or doing the wrong thing around a human? I waited to hear from my wolf but I didn't, I thought maybe she was shy and needed more time or maybe I was blocking her from speaking to me. My aunt told me I needed to let her come to her, she will speak to me like I would hear her voice inside my head like I have been doing all these while. I thought I was going crazy and if someone told me a wolf was speaking to me then I would have told the person that he/she was crazy. I was giddy because Camilla has been texting me all day, she took my number with the promise of keeping in touch and she has kept to it because she has been asking me to come hang out with her. It was sweet but I clearly needed to be home, just in case I needed to shift or change. I declined and she offered to come over so we could hang out here instead, I gathered from her pushing that she doesn't have any female friends in her life and she as simply jumping at the chance of having one finally. I chuckled when she texted me with three more please and a cute face emoji, I texted her back telling her I was simply busy and I would see her in school. She sent me a sad emoji and we stopped texting. Now that we did, it was obvious that I had nothing else to do, I was all by myself in the house. My aunt was out there doing God knows what and left me inside here with a strict instruction not to leave the house. But she didn't say anything about inviting someone over 'Fine, you can come over" I texted Camilla who replied with 'Already on my way" she accompanied it with a goofy face emoji. I waited in the living room watching a TV show but I really was anxious, I have never had a girlfriend before or any other type of friend for that matter. It was not up to fifteen minutes before a car pulled up on the driveway, I heard footsteps coming up the door and a moment later my door swung open. 'Honey I am home!!!" she announced She came straight to the living room holding a paper bag 'I brought food" she said flopping on the couch 'You were here early" I observed 'Oh, I was already on my way even when you said I shouldn't come" she told me texting someone furiously. 'What?!" I shouted She dropped her phone to stare at me with a duh look. 'You really think I was going to leave you alone the day before your birthday?" she asked me. I didn't know what to say to her, it was obvious she was a sweet soul but not enough to leave her plans and come hang out with me. It was nice. 'So what did you bring?" I asked her curious to see what she had, the aroma was mouthwatering and it made my stomach grumble. 'Cheeseburger and fries. I thought you might be hungry" she said motioning to the bag. 'Thank you" I told her, I really was hungry and I was glad she brought me food. I took mine and gulfed the whole thing down, I really was hungrier than I let on. 'What are we watching now?" Camilla asked me 'I don't know, you can put whatever you want, I really don't care" I told her too busy eating my cheeseburger. I was suddenly hungry and wanted more. 'Hey, can I eat yours too?" I asked her 'Yeah sure, I already ate plus we can order in pizza" she said too busy watching her show I nodded in appreciation before reaching for the other burger, it was like my appetite skyrocketed. I was sweating profusely and I was having the worst headache all of a sudden. I placed my hands on my temple in order to soothe the ache but it was to no avail. 'Hey, you okay?" Camilla asked after noticing me struggle for a bit 'Yes, just having the worst headache in the world" I told her 'Do you have any drugs in the medicine cabinet?" she asked me 'No I don't need drugs, I would be fine. I just need to relax my head a bit. It's been a hectic day" I told her She looked me over and went back to watching the show with a skeptical look on her face, it's like she wasn't convinced that I wasn't okay but was willing to give me the benefit of doubt. She kept looking at me from time to time to make sure I wasn't lying when I said I was okay. I ignored my throbbing head and continued eating my cheeseburger when I heard it.
