CHAPTER EIGHTY-EIGHT
"What?!" she asked both father and son as they didn't say anything for a while.
They looked at each other not saying anything but a simple nod from his father sent Vladimir to the bar to fetch blood.
Avilla winced from the headache and rubbed her temple, Vladimir soon returned with an empty glass and a jar of blood.
"Drink this" he ordered.
She looked at them as they stared at her in anticipation.
"What's this?" she asked.
"Blood" the father said simply.
She poured half a glass and drank it all but she didn't feel better. Her headache for worse and she winced again.
She needed the whole jar of blood and before she knew it, she grabbed the jar from the table and drank the whole thing.
She felt a whole lot better now and a lot stronger than she was at the beginning of the trip.
"That was refreshing, are we done with the initiation?" she asked them. They were both staring at her like she had gone mad.
"What?" she asked them.
"Avilla, you are one of a kind"
She looked up at Vladimir's father as he uttered those words.
"What?" she asked as her eyes welled up with tears.
'You and Vladimir are mates" he said.
"We are?" she asked looking towards Vladimir who stood with a smile on his face.
She walked straight to him and buried her face in his chest.
"But..." the father continued
"There is a bit?" she asked.
"Yes, we need to keep your identity a secret and further more train you on your new found abilities" he said.
"What abilities?" She asked confused.
"You were only able to bond with Vladimir because you are part werewolf, part vampire" he explained.
"What?!" she exclaimed.
She looked at Vladimir but he didn't seem surprised but he was looking as confused as she was.
"That can't be true!" she refused.
"It is true, dear. You would stay here for a while and train with Vladimir. He would teach you everything you need to know. He told me about your wolf mate and I figured he won't let go of you easily. We have to be prepared for it if he decides to come for us" he said.
Her eyes bulged from the sockets at what he said, was Rohan really going to start a war because of her?
She really hoped he wouldn't be stupid enough to start it because of his ego.
"Alright" she said.
She really couldn't say anything right now, she needed to figure things out if they were right about her new abilities.
She nodded her head, it looks like she would be here for a while.
She got up and with the help of Vladimir who held her as he escorted her out of the room.
"Do enjoy your stay here" his father said to her.
She whispered a thank you and together they both left the room.
It's been weeks since she has been here and things have been going smooth, Vladimir has been true to his word by training her. He was hard and fierce on the training ground and he seem to forget that she was his mate.
She liked it, he didn't go soft on her and he trained her like he would train any normal person. She unlocked her abilities one after the other.
Her speed. Her strength and her immunity to silver, wolfs bane, garlic, holy water and other things that can kill both species.
It gave her an advantage in a fight, the only thing capable of killing her was stake and even when before the person could get close then she would have ripped their hearts out.
There was still one thing that was bothering her, she noticed suspicious movements from the Sara woman, and she was always going out and returning later in the day. It made Avilla really suspicious and she found herself not trusting her at all.
She didn't want to be the weak hybrid, if she had a chance to save her people from any fight, she would do so without hesitation.
If she wasn't training then she was learning more about her real parents or she was spending time with her mate.
They have completed the mate bond and have imprinted on each other.
Vladimir was the best definition of great mate, he was attentive and caring and especially in bed. He attended to her needs inside and out.
She bonded with his brother, Dimitri and they seem to kick it off. He trained with her too when Vladimir was too busy to do so.
He was like the sibling she never had, she really was enjoying her time here.
She has explored the town and the people here were nice to vampires. They protected their secret and in return the vampire protected them with their abilities.
My powers were unlimited because of the blood I have been drinking. She drank mostly human blood because she needed her abilities to be at its peak.
Very soon word would get out and people would start coming to look for her to use her for their own pleasure. Apparently having a hybrid by your side gave you an advantage against your enemies.
We haven't told anyone about this and we kept it a secret, she specifically told them not to tell anyone including Sara because she didn't trust her one bit.
She was manipulative and very conniving and she didn't want Sara going around telling people she was a hybrid gaining more enemies for the clan.
She has been speaking to Camilla and her aunty and everything seemed fine over there. She would make out time to go see them one of these days.
Something about how Camilla spoke to her didn't sound right at all. It was like all the fire has gone out of her and she was an empty shell.
The only time she sounded alive was whenever she spoke about Mitchell. Something was wrong and Avilla would call her again to find out more.
Hopefully she would be able to speak freely to her.
