CHAPTER SEVENTY
Author's pov.
The mood was set with wine and a show of their favorite flicks. They were all eating popcorn and enjoying the serene environment.
Camilla was worried about her best friend and her mood, she has shown no sign of being sad over Rohan and that bothered her. She didn't think she would pretend to hide her emotions from her but it seemed real
She was upset that maybe Avilla was really moving on without a thought about her brother.
Mitchell couldn't deny that he loved his girl more than he ever imagined, she was all things that he hoped for. He has been staring at her for a while and she hasn't noticed because she is too busy worrying about her best friend. So caring and sweet.
Everybody was busy with their thoughts and it made the movie less interesting than it was before, nobody wanted to be the party pooper that would stop the movie so they kept their eyes on the screen pretending to enjoy the show.
Raquel couldn't deny the attraction she felt for Avilla right now, she was her type but she was straight. She agreed to come along because Chandler mentioned it was Avilla's house, she has been seeing her around school but couldn't talk to her because of certain reasons but when this opportunity came up go come into her personal space, she couldn't say no to that.
She had to figure out a way to make her reciprocate the attraction so she could have Avilla all to herself. If only she wasn't straight then all this would be easier. Even with the wine she has been giving her, she didn't let up. She was still not seeing her.
"I am bored!" Avilla shouted.
They all groan in unison, she just said their mind.
"Let's do something else than sit down and watch movies all day" Lisa suggested.
"What do you have in mind?" Chandler asked.
"I don't know, I am not really a fun advocate so ask someone else" Avilla replied when she caught Chandler looking at her.
"Okay, so let's play Monopoly, I think I have one at the trunk of my car" Mitchell said.
All eyes turned to him, Camilla fell more in love with him when he said that, he was smart and apparently played only games that made you smarter.
"Doesn't sound like fun" Raquel insisted.
"Wait till you start playing it" Mitchell said.
"Okay so go get it lets try it out" Avilla added.
He nodded and hopped off the couch to go fetch the game from his car.
Avilla sipped her wine while trying hard to avoid Camilla's intrusive eyes.
"Camilla? You might want to see this" Mitchell called from the door.
"Babe, what's going on?" Camilla called back.
"Come here!" He called out, Camilla rose from the couch to go check it out while the rest of us sat wondering what was going on.
It wasn't long before Camilla called Avilla to come see.
"Avilla! It's for you"
"What the hell is going on out there?" She asked out loud.
What has got them so freaked out that they couldn't handle it without involving everyone in the house, she wondered.
She walked to the front door where Mitchell and Camilla were standing side by side.
"Why are you guys sounding so freaked...?" The words died in her throat as she saw who was on her doorstep.
Her shock switched to furious in a second.
"What are you doing here? I told you never to come to my house" she questioned.
Rohan was standing there looking forlorn and the only people who could feel what he was feeling was Camilla and Avilla. Well, not Avilla, she was perfectly fine with not being with him now.
"Please go away, don't ruin my fun" she pleaded with him.
"I need to talk to you, please" he said.
She paid him no attention not even when Camilla pleaded with her to hear what he has to say.
"There is nothing he wants to say that I want to hear, I was a fool and I apologize that I didn't read the signs on the wall early enough, now please get out of my house" she said firmly.
"Avilla maybe you are being too harsh" Camilla said to her.
She turned to look at her with one question in her mind.
"Tell me if it was any other guy, would you have said this to me?" She questioned Camilla.
She was suddenly too harsh because it was her brother? She could bet her life savings that if it was another guy that did what Rohan did that Camilla wouldn't think twice before telling her to get rid of him. She knew within her that Camilla would pick sides with her brother not caring about how the said brother has treated her for a long time.
"No but..." Camilla started to say but didn't get to finish.
"But because he is your brother then everything should be forgiven?" Avilla asked sarcastically.
"Avilla..." Rohan tried to squeeze a word but she wasn't having it.
"Maybe all of you should leave, thank you for coming but I want to be alone" she said.
"What? You are asking me out of your house?" Camilla asked shocked.
"Yes, thank you for coming, I would see you in school tomorrow" she repeated.
Camilla stared at her for a long time before going back into the living room and coming back with her purse and the rest of the company.
They all left her house without a word with the exception of Raquel who muttered a silent bye to her.
She shut her door and leaned against it, she really needed to be alone. Camilla acted like had forgotten everything that has happened in the last few months.
She cleaned the mess in the living room and laid down for a while to forget the events of today.
She didn't know how she was going to face everyone tomorrow...
