CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVEN
Rohan's pov
Rejecting her was not part of my plan, I needed time to figure things out before I could be with her. But clearly she didn't understand that seeing as she was flirting with every male on the surface of the earth.
I was pissed off seeing her and that chandler guy together, laughing and having fun. Clearly he was a funny guy.
And what was she wearing? I wanted to cover her with my jacket away from the prying eyes of these people. They were looking at my girl like she was a piece of meat and she didn't seem to notice. She was laughing her ass off with chandler on the dance floor.
I stared at them dancing and spinning around on the dancefloor, she was clearly enjoying herself with no care in the world while I boiled with anger. That was supposed to be spinning her and making her laugh.
'You are an ass" my wolf said to me.
I ignored him, he has been sulking since the rejection. He has refused to talk to me except when he wants to abuse me.
I was going to get her back when I find a loophole for all of this. Mostly for Camilla then myself. I didn't want my sister to be unhappy.
For all ben knew, I just didn't want to be with her. He just didn't know that she was my mate if not he would have flipped out on me. He knew how sacred the mate bond was.
I remember when Camilla found out I rejected her, she punched me and kept hitting me and I let her because I deserved it. She has not spoken to me either. She has been spending more time with her mate Mitchell and Avilla.
It hurt my ego a bit when I saw that Avilla was doing well, she was glowing and looked curvier than before. It was like the rejection rolled off her back and it had no effect on her whatsoever.
Seeing her in that food court eating and laughing like nothing ever happened, got me upset. But I was mad when she agreed to the coffee date. I was hurt because of the rejection, I put in more hours of training just so I could numb the pain I was feeling.
It was clear that the mate bond was one sided. I couldn't get her human scent anymore and I couldn't get her wolf scent either, it was a different kind which confused I and my wolf a lot. When I saw her on the lawn staring into my eyes, something called to me but I didn't get any sign of wolf from her and that made me very confused. If she was a wolf then the rejection wouldn't have happened and we would have lived happily ever after.
I ambushed her when she went to the bathroom, I couldn't ignore the jealousy coursing through my blood. My wolf was angry and wanted to rip that human boy apart.
She fought me every step of the way trying to prove to me that she didn't want me but I shut her up with a fierce kiss which I regretted as soon it started. I didn't want our first kiss to start out like this at all.
It was supposed to gentle and loving to show her that I wanted to be with her and not to prove a point like a barbarian. I let go of her and walked out after proving her that I was callous and cold. I could feel her eyes following my movements as I walked away. I could also her anger growing each passing second till I left her line of sight.
I left the party and went straight to my car so I could leave here before I do something I will regret like mark her against her will.
I went straight to the house to see my parents, I couldn't tell them I found my mate and she was human and I could never tell them I rejected her. I wanted to ask them some questions.
I opened the door with my key and they were sitting right there in the living room.
'Hey son, what are you doing back so early?" my mom was the first to ask
They both looked at me expectantly while I searched for an appropriate answer, I couldn't tell them I just left because I didn't want to mark my mate.
'I wasn't feeling it anymore, mom" I told them the half truth
'You need to start finding interest in these things, how else would you find your mate?" my dad asked me
I tensed up immediately, this is what I was avoiding. The mate talk, it was always inevitable with my parents.
'I hear you, dad. I will start going out more often" I assured him
'Hey, I wanted to ask you guys where we kept our history, it is not in the library?" I asked them
'Oh, they should be in the archives. They contain important information and that is why they are always locked up" my father told me.
'Is there a problem?" my mom asked me. Her instincts were telling her that something was wrong somewhere.
'No mom, just needed to brush up on my history" it was a lame reason but it seemed to work with them.
'That's good, son" my father praised.
If only they knew what was going on in my life. I thanked them and headed to the library. Everybody was free to go in there but it took intense security to get to the archives.
I got to the library and entered the code. I went straight to the archive and entered the code too after signing my name to indicate I was here, I got scanned before I was allowed into the archive.
I searched for wolf and human mate, it was very easy to locate. I found the book and I got started.
