CHAPTER EIGHTY-NINE
Everything was going smoothly on everybody's end.
Avilla was stronger now than she was before, she has been training well and hard with Vladimir and other friendly vampires. The others were still skeptical about her being there with them. They refused to believe she was a hybrid with special powers.
She didn't care about any of them except for Sara, Sara has made it her life mission to hate me with every turn. Avilla finally got to know that she had always been in love with Vladimir even before they turned. She didn't feel any pity for her at all. So he found his mate, you move on but she has decided to carry hatred in her heart. Avilla couldn't care less about her as long she doesn't try anything funny.
She has learnt that with her new powers that she as indeed stronger than both species, she had all their powers combined and it made the strongest supernatural right now. She has been meaning to talk to Camilla but the latter said she was planning to visit and everything has worked out between her and Mitchell. Avilla as very happy for her best friend, she has wanted this for so long and now she has gotten it.
Camila gives her update about Rohan and his shenanigans, he has been rounding up warriors for a war against the vampires and he has locked her in the pack preventing her from seeing her mate. He has turned into a full blown tyrant and everybody including his parents were scared. She was so grateful that her aunty Beatrice wasn't in the pack. She still stayed alone although her work keeps her busy and on the road most of the time.
She felt sorry for Camilla but there was nothing she could do for her right now except to pray for her brother to regain his senses. He was crazy for blaming the vampires for taking away his mate when he never treated her right in the first place. He was delusional if he thinks that fighting a war to save his ego will make her go back to him. She honestly didn't know what she saw in him initially, a lot could have been prevented if she met Vladimir sooner.
She was truly happy here and she got to know more about her parents and it made her connection with them a little stronger, Vladimir's father has really been of great help to her and she really appreciated him for it. He has become some sort of second father to her even when she needed advice when she found out that Vladimir was indeed a prince and next in line for the throne.
It was few weeks when she had settled, she was going to the library to catch up on her reading about the vampire culture when she heard the raised voices coming from his study. She didn't want to eavesdrop but she couldn't help it when she heard her name and besides the door was slightly ajar.
She abandoned her search and stopped to listen, it was Sara talking to Vladimir.
'I can't believe you are thinking of going through with this, I thought it was just a phase?" she asked in her obviously pissed tone.
Vladimir chuckled bitterly, 'you think me wanting to be with my mate is just a phase?" he asked her.
'Yes, I know vampires don't break their promise and your father assured me that I would be queen when the time is right" she insisted.
'Queen?" Avilla had asked herself.
'Assurance is not the same thing as a promise, Sara. How can you be queen when Avilla is here? And I thought you were over that and now sleeping with my brother?" he asked hotly.
'Well…" sars trailed off.
Vladimir took a threatening step towards Sara and she flinched back.
'I swear to God, if you think sleeping with my brother would help you get the throne and you are just using him. I WOULD KILL YOU" he said emphasizing each word as his voice got colder.
Sara gulped but turned immediately as she heard a 'what?" behind Avilla.
She looked back and oh no!
Dimitri was standing behind me and had happened to hear the last part, he was burning with anger but his posture screamed hurt. He turned and left the same way he came from but Avilla was stuck there as she looked Vladimir in the eye. He looked so guilty and remorseful.
But Sara still had much to say to her, she took a threatening step towards Avilla but she didn't flinch back.
'You!" Sara pointed a finger at her with a disgusted look on her face.
Avilla looked at her with boredom on hers.
'if you are going to start blaming me then I suggest you save it, you should be ashamed of yourself for using your body because of a mere title. If you are desperate for a throne then I know you wouldn't be above betraying your own clan to get it, you are a disgrace!" Avilla spat at her.
Surprise painted on her face as she stared back at Avilla, she opened and closed her mouth several times like a fish before she stormed out.
Vladimir was full of smiled but Avilla wasn't having it with him. She reached him and punched him straight on the arm. He rubbed his arm but he was still smiling down at her.
She looked up at him with anger but he paid no attention to her and instead whispered the words that melted her heart.
'I am so proud of you, you little spitfire" he said giving her a kiss on her forehead and hugging her to him. That single act alone made her forget what se as angry about in the first place.
She got herself and ripped herself away from his hug.
'You lied to me" she said in a calm voice.
He sighed and released a heavy breath, 'I didn't want to scare you off by telling you that I was royalty and I am to rule once I find my mate." He said.
'I understand but I just didn't want to find out like this, I want us to be together but that's okay, I have a lot to learn then" she told him
'Yes you do" he said right before he sealed his lips over hers.
This was nice!
