CHAPTER SIXTY-FOUR
Avilla's pov
We stayed at the beach for a long time talking about random things, I realized that he didn't say anything about himself and I didn't say anything about me too. We were so comfortable with each other that time flew by and we had no idea what we were taking about.
We focused on other things instead of ourselves, it was like he was being too careful not to ask me anything about myself, and it was very sweet and sad at the same time.
If it turns out that we can't be together then I guess this whole thing would pay off.
I didn't know why I had this great connection with him, I thought there was nothing like a second chance mate so soon after a rejection but I guess I was wrong.
I didn't know how Camilla would take this but I hoped she would be happy for me.
"I have to go" he said out of nowhere.
I didn't want him to go, I wanted him to stay with me till I sleep but I couldn't tell him that.
"Okay" I said quietly.
It was at the tip of my tongue to tell him that I was going back to my town tomorrow and he wouldn't see me again but I refrained myself. If this was my only chance of happiness before I returned to reality then I would seize it.
"Goodnight" he raised his fingertips to my cheek, they were warm
Not what I expected but I guess books say false things too.
"Goodnight Vladimir" I told him.
I watched as he walked away and all of a sudden he was gone.
I stayed out on the beach a little longer to dwell on this particular event, it wasn't till late in the night that I went in.
I have a lot to think about when I get home, I was going to be honest with Camilla, my aunt and Rohan. And I think it was high time that my aunt tells me everything she knows or I will threaten her.
I checked on my aunt in her room before going into mine, she was sleeping soundly.
I went into my room to sleep...
....
Morning came earlier than expected, that would be because I was awake for a very long time. I barely had any sleep. All these was too much for me and I needed to get to the bottom of it. I can't be a vampire's mate. It was not right and what would I do with Rohan?
Well, that part is easy, I will accept his rejection to show him that his game with me is over now. He can go be with that girl I saw at the cafe. I don't really care anymore, right now I just want to be happy.
"Avilla! It's time to go!" My aunt screamed from her room.
Yeah, I was all packed and ready to go home. I didn't want to leave this place, there was something about it that called to me. It was peaceful and I felt at home here.
"Coming!!" I called back.
I went into the bathroom to have my bath and brush my teeth so we could get going. I was hungry and we were going to have to stop at a cafe down the street. I saw one when I was coming and from the aroma, I think they would serve good treats.
I was all ready to go in ten minutes and my aunt was still running around in her room.
"I am ready!" I called out to her.
"Okay, go put your things in the car so we could leave, I would join you in a jiffy" she said.
I did as she said and got my things into the car, I made room at the back of the trunk for her to put her things in.
While I waited, I checked my phone for texts and I found none. I wasn't disappointed because I didn't have that much friends to start with. Ever since I got here, I have been so wrapped up in boy drama that I haven't even explored or gotten to know more people in my sights.
That would change, as soon as I am back, I would focus on getting my social life back on track. It was a mess.
"Okay, let's go. You are driving" my aunt said immediately she came out.
"We would be stopping at the cafe then, I am famished" I told her.
"Me too, I didn't eat last night" she reminded me.
I shrugged and got into the car.
"Are you sure we are not forgetting anything?" I asked her.
"No, I packed up everything" she said.
I nodded at her before starting the car.
We got to the cafe and I packed in the space I saw.
"You coming?" I asked her.
"No just order a latte and a croissant for me" she said.
I nodded at her and went into the cafe to get those things.
It was not crowded, they all stopped to stare at me and it took me back to the first day I met Rohan. It was this exact thing and I can remember going up to order cafe.
"Hello, how can I help you?" The barista asked.
"I would like two lattes, a croissant and a scone. No, make it two scones, butter filled please." I said.
He nodded as he wrote down my order.
"That would be $50" he said.
I grabbed my wallet and have him a $100.
He got me my order pretty quickly and made to give my balance but I waved him off.
"Thank you" he smiled.
I smiled in return, it was nothing.
I got to the car and passed the croissant and latte to my aunt who smiled like she just won the lottery.
I entered the driver's seat and placed mine into the lunch holder. And I drove in the direction of my town.
