CHAPTER EIGHTY
Vladimir's pov
There was nothing important since the pages have been ripped off and I couldn't get anything sensible but scraps and short summary of what happened. It was like they didn't want anything to do with him anymore because everything about him was cancelled. I couldn't find any information about him or his mate. He wasn't written off as dead either.
Konstantin Ivanov was born a pure vampire and was the heir to throne after his father, he was stubborn and loyal to the clan. He fought for the clan and he was always obedient to the rules. He was to be next in line and he had been well prepared for it.
He has been trained, taught and schooled about the vampire culture enough that he can argue about it in his sleep.
Everyone loved him and looked forward to him being king but there was the issue of him not finding his mate.
Vampires are known for carrying rumors and the rumor that he was mate less went around so fast and spread like wild fire. He heard it and he was sad but he didn't give up.
He spent thousands of years searching for his mate, when he finally found her. He wanted to be with her more than anything but wolves and vampire never mate. It was impossible to do so.
He begged and tried everything he could but nothing worked. He ran away with her leaving the clan behind. He was tagged a traitor who had no respect for the clan and was never heard from again.
I almost laughed at the absurdity of the story, they all laughed and mocked him for not having a mate and they really tagged him a traitor for being happy. I have to be honest, vampires can be selfish sometimes.
They want everything to be by the rules, what is wrong with bending a little rule so their future king would be happy and sane enough to rule them.
I didn't want to suffer the same fate, my brother would bear the burden of becoming king and my father would label me as the traitor which I can imagine wouldn't be easy to condemn your own son.
I didn't want to put my father through such trauma of losing his son and I don't also want to be without a mate. If only someone knew of Konstantin's whereabouts, it would be easier to track him down and ask him some questions.
He would be of help to me and that is why I was trying so hard to find a connection to him that might help me find him so I could talk to him.
I wanted to be with my mate, I have been alone for so long and right now it has put me in a very tough spot, I wanted someone special to me and they gave me just that. It was unfair to let some rule keep us apart and unhappy for the rest of our lives especially when she has been hurt by a jackass who had no regards for mate bond.
It would be unfair to both of us if some rule keep us from being together, I couldn't let that happen not while I know that some rules are meant to be broken once in a while, if I am made king, that is the first rule I would be abolishing. It was high time people stopped being mate less because of some silly rule some tyrant made up.
I know it was during the time that wolves and vampires were at war with each other, I know we have been enemies for a long time and we hated ourselves but that was no reason to hinder ourselves companionship. The reason why we were fighting has been long forgotten but the hate was still there regardless. They didn't realize it but our feud ended when the rulers of that time died but they don't get it because the seed has been planted that wolves and vampires are sworn enemies.
I closed the book when I didn't see anything reasonable to help my cause, I shut it when something occurred to me. I opened it again and my name went to the name of the man that ruled him as a traitor and I was shocked to the same.
Vladimir Romanov.
Boldly written for everyone to see, for him especially to see. Now he understood why his father was always reminding him to do his duties and why he was skeptical when he wanted to go look for Avilla, it was because he had an experience with it once upon a time.
He knew what he had to do, he was going to speak to his father and ask him a about Konstantin. He was going to beg but he hoped it was worth it and his father could give him all the information he had.
He would leave his brother here and go alone to see his father, it was time he tells his father everything concerning Avilla and the situation he seems to have found himself in and hoped to God that his father would see reasons with him and talk to him properly about this. He really needed his father and not the vampire ruler.
He would send Avilla a message to tell her about the recent developments and hoped she wouldn't be so mad at the sudden information on it, it would be short trip because he didn't intend to stay for so long. Dimitri would look after Avilla and Sara. Although, the latter didn't really need guarding because she is a warrior. They would handle things here while I go handle my father and hassle him about Konstantin.
I wanted to ask my father if he knew anything about Konstantin that he could tell me, I know they were friends and I think it would be heartless of my father to not keep track of his friend after all those years. It really was a sad thing to do.
I couldn't help but think about how my father would handle the information I was about to unload on him as I packed my things, quickly sending Avilla a brief message about my trip.
