CHAPTER SIXTY

Avilla's pov My aunt came down sooner than I expected with her already packed bag. She notices me staring at her and raise her brows at me. "What?! You didn't think you tricked me into this trip, did you?" She asked. All of a sudden, a memory hit me hard. It was a memory of her making me look at magazines that good beach location on them, I was so entranced with the beauty that I started concocting a trip in my head. I looked up at her and she was smiling at me like she has won the war. She was pretty clever. First, she got me to think about the trip and then she let me think that I had planned all of it. I had to hand it to her, she was a manipulative shrew. "Come on, we have a two hours trip ahead of us" she called out from the car. I locked up the door and headed to the car. We drove off after she checked if she had her driving license and papers. The trip was silence because the music was on and I didn't want to talk about anything. I had a lot on my mind. My phone has been buzzing with messages from Camilla, one getting more urgent than the previous one. Where are you, I came to your house and it's locked. Hello?! Are you ignoring me?! Avilla!!! Did you leave town? Avilla?! WHERE THE FUCK ARE YOU?! That was from Camilla. Rohan also sent me a message too. Can we talk? I am sorry. Please call me when you get this message. Please talk to me. I ignored him and instead replied Camilla's. Hey cam, I just took a trip out of town to be alone for a while. I would call you when I am free. I sent her the message and the icon showed that she read it. It wasn't long before I see her bubbles meaning that she was typing. Okay, call me soon. I love you. Tears welled up in my eyes. I love you too, I texted back. I deleted Rohan's messages so I would reply them, he could go fuck himself for all I care. I was expecting to see messages from Ben but there wasn't any, he didn't care enough to even call to check up on me? Maybe he was busy with something. "Hey honey, something on your mind?" My aunt asked. She glanced over at me with concern. "Yes, I am fine. A lot has happened that I haven't told you" I told her. I felt like she would be the perfect person to talk to, Camilla is great but she is related to my tormentor, it makes it harder for me to confide in her most times. But my aunt can be neutral, she would take my side but who wouldn't because I have been the one suffering. "You don't have to tell me right away" she advised. I nodded at her, she was right. We had the whole day to ourselves to sit, drink and talk about anything before coming back. I could wait if that was the case. I played a game on my phone to keep me company but deep down I was wishing I had skipped town. It would nice to run away from all this drama, it wasn't good for my wolf and I. Maybe if they lose me for a while, they would finally know that I am precious to them but I also don't want to leave town for them to realize that I mean a lot to them. I just played my game through the car ride. We finally got to the beach we were led to our cabins, the cabin my aunt chose had two rooms and it was just suitable for us both. I dropped my bag, thanking the tour guide. I closed the door and headed straight to the bathroom. The place was nice and cozy. "I love this place" I told my aunt in awe when I finished up inside the bathroom. "It's beautiful" she replied as she took in the place. It was a normal sized house but it was built in such a way that it could give you that homely vibe, it was great. "Why don't you unpack your things?" She told me. "Okay, we still have to hit the beach an hour" I reminded her. "Good, that would give me time to dress up" she said. I nodded at her and unpacked my things, humming to myself as I did. I just finished unpacking when my phone rang and it was Ben, I hesitated wondering if I should answer it or not. I answered it before it could end. "Hello" "Hey Avilla, I am sorry that I haven't called. I have been dealing with stuff" he said. "Sure, I understand. How are you?" I asked him. "Not good, hey listen, I wanted to talk to you about something" he said suddenly. "What's going on?" I asked him. "I just need to tell you something that Rohan should have told you a long time ago" he said. Wow! What a good friend! I bet that he is going to spill Rohan's secret to me, I could not believe that he would do such a thing to his best friend. This is so messed up. "I am not in right now but we can talk when I get back, okay?" I told him. "Alright, sure" he said and hung up. He didn't even say goodbye, it was like that was his main purpose for calling me. I thought about texting Camilla to tell her but I decided against it. I didn't need to bother her with every little detail. I had my bath and got dressed in my bathing suit and jacket. I hoped my aunt was done with her dressing inside her room.
