CHAPTER EIGHTY-FIVE

Vladimir's pov. I was boiling with rage inside me, how dare that dog lay his hands on my mate? He was lucky I was there or I would be standing over his corpse with his heart in my hands. So he thinks because he has the alpha title that it means something to we, vampires? He is mistaken, we would wipe you, the title and the people that gave it to you. It was such a shame that Avilla had to bear with this guy before I came along. I wanted to hurry and get Avilla away from this place, it was filled with uncultured wolves who thought they ruled the world. What a joke? I think my father would be surprised to see me back so soon with my mate already, but I wanted this to go as fast as possible because I needed my mate and I hated having all those things holding us back. And I needed her to choose me although it seems she has already because sharing blood with a vampire is a very intimate sign. I drive home, I wanted to tell Dimitri about the latest news and check on Sara. I felt like we haven't hung out lately because I have been occupied with Avilla. We would all be going home with Avilla. I was so happy and really excited to have my father meet her, I didn't know what to do about the Konstantin matter but my father said he had it all handled and I believe him. I got to the house and used my key to open the door, there was loud music playing from my brother's room, I would check on Sara later but for now, I wanted to speak to Dimitri. I headed to his door and swung it open. "What the hell?!" I asked as I took in the sight before me. My brother and Sara? Sara and my brother. "Shut the door!" my brother exclaimed. "Oh right! Sorry" I said as I closed it behind me. I shook the image out of my head and headed to my own room. I wasn't even in it when my door opened and Dimitri came barging in. "Before you say anything, I am sorry. It just happened" he apologized. I looked at him confused, "what?" I asked him. He furrowed his brows looking at me, "I thought you would be mad" he said. "Why would I be mad? You both are adults and I trust you know what you are doing?" I asked. "Yes, we are just using each other's bodies" he said. "Okay then, go freshen up so we can talk" I told him. "Give me thirty minutes" he said before strolling out. I shook my head, smiling to myself. I guess my hangout with Sara would have to wait till this passes over. I started packing my bags and folding my clothes when a knock sounded from downstairs. I think Sara and Dimitri were still busy so I went to open the door myself. My smile thinned immediately I opened the door. My inner beast roaring with anger and blood lust. I kept quiet waiting for him to talk and he seem to have the same idea too. I was perfect for the game. We stared at each other for a very long time, neither one of us willing to make a move or say anything. He sighed when he realized I wasn't going to say anything to him. "I hope you realize why I am here?" he asked me with one of his brows raised. I stared at him not saying anything so he could continue. "Avilla is my mate and I won't let her go with you, so I say we battle this out." he said with confidence. I chuckled bitterly and I could see the surprise register on his face. "we both know that I am faster, stronger and more swift, the only reason why you are still alive on my doorstep is because I don't want a war between our kind but you and I know that if we were set up to fight. I would have having your heart out in my hands in two seconds" I told him calmly. His eyes widened when he realized his threat didn't work but it had the opposite effect. "I am stronger now" he argued. "I have been stronger for a thousand years just because you acquired a new power doesn't make you a stronger man. The next time you think to confront me, I wouldn't be so nice with words" I told him before closing the door on his face. I clenched and unclenched my fist in an effort to stay controlled. "Damn bro, what's got you so mad?" Dimitri asked as he came downstairs. I ignored his question and instead focused on how Rohan knew where we lived, it was like he has been there before. "Go and pack, we would be leaving tomorrow" I told him making me way outside. "What about Avilla?" he asked. "She is going with us too" I answered. He fist pumped the air and grinned at me. Well, he was happy for me and that was a good sign. Sara came downstairs later and was passed the information, she didn't say anything. She just went back into her room to pack. "Are you ever going to say anything to Sara?" Dimitri asked me. "To be honest, I don't know what to say to her. Whenever she is ready to talk, I will be here. No judgements" I told him. "Okay, thanks bro. I really like her" he said to me. I looked at him and he had a serious expression which was different to the normal care free expression he normally had on. "So did you talk to father?" he asked me. "Yes, I did. He didn't freak out. He was just scared for me and he told me to bring Avilla to meet with him formally and we can figure out what to do from there" I told him. "Alright" I was pumped for the trip because I really wanted Avilla to meet the clan, she would be leading then someday.
