Suddenly Drops in Prestige
"Agatha, I understand that this may feel sudden. However, look at your potential. We can create something extraordinary together. This job is not just about daily tasks, but about building a solid team and achieving success together."
Cakra continued to reassure Agatha that behind the offer, there was a new world waiting to be explored. He painted a picture of the job as his personal secretary as a window to unforeseen opportunities.
Agatha pondered Cakra's words, letting them sink in. Minutes passed, filled with doubt and contemplation.
Agatha thought again, considering whether this decision could open new doors in her life or lead her to a more complicated situation?
With a serious expression, Agatha finally said, "Give me some time to think about it again, Mr. Director. I need time to reflect on everything you've discussed."
"But remember, if you work with me, you have to leave your current job," Cakra interjected in the midst of Agatha's still hesitant thoughts.
Cakra's firm statement broke the silence in Agatha's mind. She looked at Cakra with surprise and disbelief.
"Leave my job now?" Agatha mumbled, feeling how difficult it would be to replace her current position.
Agatha's expression turned serious, considering the consequences of this unexpected demand. Layla was a child she cherished. And Jayden was someone very dear to her.
Her current job had become an integral part of her life, and the idea of leaving it was not easy.
Cakra, with his calm expression, continued to gaze at Agatha. "This is indeed a tough choice, Agatha. But I'm sure, it is also a great opportunity for you."
Agatha remained silent, trapped in an inner struggle between dreams and complicated realities. She couldn't leave Layla and walk away from Jayden.
But a big offer was right in front of her. Agatha clenched her hands, closed her eyes briefly, then opened them again.
"I know this is your dream, Agatha. Wouldn't it be a shame if you didn't accept this offer?" Cakra interjected again, trying to persuade her.
After much thought about Cakra's offer, Agatha finally made her decision. "I'm sorry, Mr. Director. But I still can't accept this offer," she stated firmly, accompanied by a small smile as a gesture of gratitude.
However, Agatha's decision made Cakra feel deep disappointment and frustration. His charming face turned into a dark expression. He tried to contain his emotions, but the words that came out of his mouth couldn't be hidden.
"Mr. Director, I appreciate your offer, but this is not the right step for me. Thank you for the opportunity," Agatha said, maintaining a calm demeanor.
Cakra, who had tried to control his emotions, was now nearing the loss of patience. "Agatha, why are you so stubborn? This is a great opportunity, and you're wasting this golden chance!" he urged, with an escalating tone.
Agatha, with a tense expression, was about to leave the room without saying a word. Cakra, whose emotions were escalating, couldn't hold back. He immediately held Agatha back from leaving.
"I have made my decision, Mr. Director. This is not the only thing I dream of. You don't need to bother offering this to me," Agatha managed to release herself from Cakra's grasp.
Cakra clenched his teeth, holding back his anger. "You're being foolish, Agatha! This is a rare opportunity, and you're just throwing it away!"
The tension in the air was palpable, and Agatha had to face an emotional response from Cakra that she hadn't expected. Feeling the atmosphere growing tense, she quickly left the room.
Her expression of annoyance was clearly visible on her face, and without saying anything, she chose to contain her emotions.
Agatha glanced at Cakra briefly before continuing her steps to open the door. Agatha whispered to herself, "Not all that glitters is valuable gold."
Cakra growled. "Why can't you understand?!"
In the room left by Agatha, Cakra felt his anger reaching its peak. Unable to control himself, he vented his anger by throwing items on the office table, causing them to scatter on the floor.
The sound of objects crashing echoed throughout the room, reflecting the disappointment and frustration he felt.
Agatha cursed as she walked down the corridor to quickly leave the campus. "Hah. Truly a damn director. Why couldn't someone smarter occupy that position instead?"
Agatha sighed. "How can I leave Jayden with Layla? They are already like family to me. Just as they are to him."
"Leave Jayden's side?" Agatha chuckled. "Impossible."
That night, Cakra, still emotional from a series of rejections from Agatha, decided to vent his frustration by going to a bar.
There, he tried to bury his annoyance and disappointment in glasses of hard liquor.
Cakra sat in a dark corner of the bar, a glass of whiskey in his hand bearing witness to his dissatisfaction. "Why is she so stubborn?" he muttered to himself, trying to find an answer that remained elusive.
While his cigarette burned quickly, Cakra pondered every interaction with Agatha. "She can't appreciate the opportunities I gave her," he muttered, staring emptily into the room.
However, in the midst of despair, Cakra decided to momentarily forget with the presence of the woman he had hired.
"Maybe this is the best way to forget everything," he said, although he realized that the transient pleasure would never replace the emptiness he felt.
In deep regret, Cakra grabbed his glass firmly. "Maybe this is what she wants, isn't it?" he said, taking a bitter sip of whiskey.
Trying to immerse himself in a temporary world that would never replace the emptiness he felt.

"Let go of Agatha and my company will be yours."
Jayden didn't need to think twice about the request. His smile appeared calmly. There was no trace of anger at all. However, deep down, Jayden cursed a thousand times.
"How about both? Agatha and your company becoming mine. It seems like there are far more women around you," Jayden quipped.
Cakra suppressed a growl but maintained a calm smile. "Whatever you ask for, I can provide. As long as the girl belongs to me and no longer stays with you."
Jayden's laughter filled the air. "You're very straightforward, huh. Why has your arrogance suddenly dropped?"
"Don't take my request lightly," Cakra emphasized, struggling to control his temper.
"Don't you already know the answer?" Jayden smirked, then took a cup of coffee from the table and sipped it contentedly.
"She doesn't deserve to be with a man like you. Her future will be brighter with me."
Jayden placed his glass back on the table. He looked confidently at Cakra. "Oh, really? How do you know her feelings? Has she responded well to you? She probably sees you as nothing more than a playboy director?"
Cakra widened his eyes for a moment. Then he grimaced sharply and stared intently. "Just answer my request, Mr. Jayden Byhantara. I don't need your empty words. I don't have much time to deal with arrogant people like you."
Jayden chuckled briefly. Then nodded. "Of course, I refuse. You know our relationship is not that close for me to comply with your request."
"Just say if you're asking for more. I can give anything." The muscles in Cakra's hand tightened as he held back his emotions.
"Do you think I have another answer? Dream on. Instead of offering something irrelevant like this, you better take care of your company properly. Wouldn't it be funny if it suddenly went bankrupt?" Jayden chuckled.
